    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Balls are some of the most stubborn reptiles, i think its comical how my wild caughts when on news paper will not eat and as soon as they are on cypres mulch they eat like pigs . Go figure any one ever have this problem? or other crazy stuff like this. By the way i keep a few wild caughts so it keeps my bloodline diversified if anyone was wondering and yes they can be a pain but worth it.

hey craig,i agree totally my friend.i have a few balls that were put on newpaper and would not eat for months..then i decided to put them on cypress mulch and they eat everything but my fingers..lololol

I got one for this thread Most of the time your temps are spose to be inbetween 88-92
I have a Bp that wouldnt eat I tried almost everything Bedding, No bedding. F/T, Live, Rats Mice and a few thing inbetween I decided it would be a long shot but I dropped the temp to 80-85 And guess what she ate, the next week ate and shes still eating.
But if the temps are higher than 85 she WONT EAT

Hopefully only one side of her tub is staying below 85 or you're going to hear some wheezing soon. Balls still have to have a hot-side, preferably with belly heat...especially if it's eating so that it can easily digest that food. A lot of breeders drop their temps in the beginning of the breeding season, but I don't even do that, as it caused me too many RI's when I did so. (And that was from a slight drop in temps.)

There is still one hot side and Yes I am using Belly heat (heat Mats) I was EXTREMELY concernd about dropping the temps I keep the Bp in questions tank at 82- 85, I've been doing so for about 2 months now. She's eating/shedding & defacating normally

Yeah, as long as she's got that belly heat, she should be fine as she can easily regulate her body temps.

I just thaught it was odd that dropping the temp would get her 2 eat, I got her from a friend who couldnt get her to eat for nothing I couldnt for the longest untill the temp dropped a little I think there was to much heat in the enclosure and it was stressing her out (As we know Balls can be easly stressed) Becuase well shes eating now and has been doing so nicely

i think the most logical reasoning behind that would be during the hotter months in africa they tend to reside to there holes and tend to stay there till the temps cool. and as long as you have temps in the 80s you will not have any problems with RI, i keep my hole room at 84 degrees and a back heat on my racks at 85 never any issues. good luck all and happy herping
