In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Ali, I have a few questions. I think we need to get an idea of how all of this came to pass.
First, did you buy all of these animals outright? In doing so, none of these are in anyway owned in part by any of the Childs? In such, no other funds will be going in her pocket?
I know one of them were looking at jail time, is this a deal made to run this business until she gets out? It just makes me wonder, knowing the way someone would need to continue the business / do something with her animals, due to the fact of her getting locked up.
If you bought these animals outright, then I have no beef with you. Just so there was no deal made with her to run her scam while she is away. Or some type of deal struck for her to continue to collect money from you.
I agree with Mike, if she is a good girl it will come out as such. If not, then this too will be seen.

There's only ever been one immediate family "Childs" involved in the business. That would be Wendy. Ali is a cousin, and I do not know her last name, so it is possible she is a "Childs" also. From the beginning, I have known more about this mess than most, if not all, except the family members who chose to post. Where some others have made assumptions and run with them, which is their SOP in all areas of Fauna, I did not have to make assumptions about many things. The mother, Jeanne, has run an honest business for years, primarily wholesale, working with beardeds. She has a full time job that is outside her home, and had to leave trust behind while at work. Many communications went out from Jeanne's account that she did not write, often as a matter of habit. In my initial communications with them as customers, I would have to reply with a querie asking which party I was communicating with, as teh signature box said Jeanne but the text implied otherwise. Innocent enough if both entities communicating as one are on the up-and-up. The makings of a big problem if both parties are not on the same page. Ignorance is no excuse, but it has its boundaries. Hope you never end up with a "problem Child" Bobby, as the pun is unavoidable here.

All in all, the best way to handle this, WITHOUT adding wood to the fire that is tension, is to sit back and watch. That's it! No need to trust or not trust. There are many other people in this industry to buy lizards from. If you want animals, buy them from other business's if you are too distrusting to purchase from Ali. I, too, have been known to be TOO trusting. It has bit me in the rear more times than i can count on a team of football players fingers.
Yes, i must say, alot of the people here on fauna are quick to point fingers and place blame. If you take the outsiders perspective on it, you should KNOW WHY! There have been so many people in this industry who have gone from good to bad in a blink of an eye, and so many people who have scammed there whole way to doomsday! It's expected that we have groups of distrusting and bitter people.
After all that blab, my point is, sit back and observe the situation until you see reasonable cause to point the fingers and place the blame.
Ali, i pray that you are, and have been, 100% honest in what you say and do. You have the opportunity to run a business of your own. But if you havent noticed already, the reptile industry is quick to out scammers. You will be on that list in NO time if you are one.

Whoa, Everybody! Don't go jumping on Ali just yet. I am a satisfied customer of the new Crazy Cresties and would like to say I am very impressed with her. I just got a female gargoyle gecko from her and she is one of the brightest, most tame, and most active gargoyle gecko I've ever seen. She has been well taken care of by Ali and it shows. Here's a picture of her just 4 hours after her arrival:
I've got more pics of her, too. She's somewhat brighter now that she's shed her skin last night.
I am glad I found this place afterward, because I probably would have ended up with another worn-out former breeder gecko who's 4 times the size of my male one again. Hang in there, Ali, and don't let some of these guys get you down.

Mark, they were kicked off, every name they were known to use. From Reptileauctions and Reptileforums. I don't know what's happening over there anymore as I don't bother with either of those sites anymore, but everyname associated with wendy and jeane was booted.Otter_23 said:

Partially joking Wes. I just remembered the other post about how everything would become clear (who is running the site, why they were reinstated etc...). I guess it doesn't really matter to me in the long run. If they chose to keep the name I will chose to be skeptical just as if someone opened a business called Enron I think I would stay clear.

I am most certainly not keeping the name. I do not deny that there were discrepancies, confutations, and disharmony associated with the company formerly known as crazy cresties. I just wnat a chance to be a breeder. I have never done this...and like I have noted previously I have researched and wanted to this for quite some time now. I finally have the chance to run a company breeding reptiles...( I thought I would be breeding chameleons and beardies when I was planning to start my own business) but I was told of this opportunity, someone selling primarily geckos...read up on them and had a few weeks of hands on training.
I have made several transactions since I have been the owner ( not many as I do not have a website currently) and so far everyone is more than satisfied with everything. I guess everyone should take Mike and Jim's advice: don't trust me if you don't want to...just wait and see for yourself, time will tell and you negative folks may just be eating your words.

To clarify, To say “The business you made this transaction with no longer exists.” To get out of fixing a problem, is a misstep to fixing a reputation of a company. As stated by Ali, It is still Wendy’s company and she plans to hand it back over.
