In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I was wondering what a BD could get from crickets that he wont get from the Adult Bearded Dragon Food made by Rep-Cal....any ideas?

Thanks

I myself think its a good product...if you can get the dragon to eat it.I have found my dragons won't touch anything not moving.I put supers on their salad. But if you can get them to eat it Great!!.I think nutrtionally its great.I would still supplement with calcium now and then and give salad.are trying to get away from bugs???Or just researching other options?

I am trying to get away from bugs. And he will eat the pellets. We bribed him into eatting them by soaking them in grape juice then gradually over time reducint the juice and replacing it with water. He would never touch his salads either until we mashed up some strawberry in them, and we just gradually reduced the ammount of strawberry we were using until we got to the point of not using it at all. So having him eat them will not be a problem.

I believe the pellets to be nutionally fine for them.as long as they are eating enough of it and the veggies i do not see a problem with it.Check the protein content of it if there is enough protein I would say go for it.I see no nutritional problems with it.what are you giving in the salad??? what veggies what greens etc. That is just as importatnt if not more important than the protien.they got a lot of vitimins and calcium and many other nutrients form the salad.I know many people who have raised their dragons on strictly veggies and they have done fine as long as they are given the right types of veggeis and greens .
Good Luck I am sure he/she will do just fine

He gets collard greens, occasionaly mustard. Loves dandelions but those are hard to find right now. We found out he likes red peppers. He wont eat any fruits unless they are in juice form.

If the dragon is not that old, under a year it should be fed crickets or silkies and veggies and greens. It still needs a meat which crickets and silkies give it.

I was thinking it was an adult as she asked about Adult Bearded dragon pellets.I could be wrong though.I am hoping its an adult.Because you're absolutley right they need that meat for protein when they are young for bone development and such.
