In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Awesome!

Those are awesome pics!!!! I love to see them lay their eggs, it always amazes me!!

My female always digs a deep hole, and then lays them while her body is in a vertical position, which I haven't seen in anybody elses pics of crested females laying.

It's a great feeling having eggs!

Good luck,
Amanda

thanks!,

im a leopard gecko guy, but cresteds are my equal favorites, i think they are awesome, and having eggs from them feels great!

i cant wait to see a little head sticking out of that egg, haha, that will be an awesome feeling!

Wooohooooo

LOL! Congrats Dan! Now its all about waiting the 70 odd days...:raspberry

Crongrats Dan. I guess she was gravid when you brought her home. Now you don't know what to expect to pop out of the egg. LOL

Wow Dan, those are some pretty awesome photos right there! That sequence is perfect.

very nice...congrats and good luck...
mine have hatched btwn 55 and 65 days at room temp here in ny

hopefully you'll see this soon :)

thanks rachel, i cant wait till i see that! haha

i have the egg in my female incubator which runs at 80(used for leos, lol i know cresteds are not temp sex dependent)

Awsome!!! I sware crested are like herion.. from what i hear its like anyway:)

I guess I should stay away from geckos. The last thing I need is another expensive addiction.

I've heard differing opinions about putting the eggs in an incubator when room temp is fine for adults...but have heard that higher temp ones (can't remember temps exactly) seem to hatch in less than 60 days, some at 52 days...
though mine hatch in a good amount of time (sorry for the quality of last pic)...55-65 days, usually 59-62....I really haven't heard of them taking longer than 70 days...but supposedly can take as long as 90

Great pictures!

Cresteds aren't temp sex dependent? I thought I read in the Rhac book that they were? I will have to check again....

there are differing opinions...I don't know the exact temp I like (room temp) but my first 4 are all female, my holdback subs and ones I've sold seem to be female, getting feedback, (maybe one male in my holdbacks but not sure yet....)
still early for me to have proof...I have 2 adults from last year and sold 2 that are all female...then I lost over 20 eggs last winter...so there was a gap btwn those and the next batch of oldest ones...so I'm waiting to see how they turn out (oldest are 6 months and look female but I like to have no doubt) and will hopefully be able to keep 2-3 females out of my 4 holdbacks...and there's someone who wants any of mine that are male if I get one lol...which works out well
