    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hi,

I am a first time gecko buyer. I am looking for one that is unique and inexpensive.

My main goal would be to find a MOONGLOW for 40$ or less.
I understand that this is probably impossible but I thought this would be a great place to find something similar.

I find myself gravitating towards the patternless gecko, possibly in a gray, white or lavender hue.

Honestly the pattern doesn't matter to me, I just want a light colored gecko to contrast against the green leaves. I don't like red or bright orange geckos.

Also, I am looking for a subadult, with or without a tail and the sex does not matter. Thank you!

If you have anything like this or know anyone who does please let me know!

THANKS!! :)

you get what you pay for

You should really just try to find a good reputable breeder. The likelihood that you will get something ill or ill cared for or just be sold someone's problem animals is pretty high... especially when you are getting animals that do not exhibit illness like mammals...reptiles and snakes especially normally take a long time to show signs of illness. Please just be careful when you buy what you buy and do the equivalent of a background check on the business's or person's reputation in the exotic industry.

Well finding a moonglow at the price wont happen...why? Moonglows do not actually exists, and when you do find them they are people trying to sell a gecko that is really just an unfired gecko, or just a grey gecko for an arm and a leg trying to lure in newbies into the hobby with a one of a kind gecko. Normally the light colored animals are not usually patternless, they tend to be harleys or flames, and usually sell for more than $40. Cream on creams can be hard to come buy and can carry a price tag varying from $80-$300+ depending on the age, the pattern and sex. The same can go for yellow and creams. And lavanders you have to watch out for also, many people post pictures of unfired geckos in their grey stage calling them lavanders but when they fire up the are a medium brown based gecko.

If you have something in mind, like Aaron said, look at a good breeder but be forwarned your asking price may need to increase. And check out the BIO on this section, search for the person who approaches you, and dont be afraid to post on the BIO asking if anyone knows if they are a good person to work with or not.
