    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I do rescues, so far I've rescued mostly Pitbulls and Leo's, and was recently asked if I'd be willing to take in a Crested Gecko. I am more than willing to try but had some questions. I have a 60 gallon mesh vivarium that I used to keep a Veiled Chameon in, would this be ok for a Crestie? It is a tall viv to allow lots of climbing, but if I'm not mistaken, they also climb on glass. Would it be better to put it in a glass one? If so, I have a 29 gallon long...if I stand it up to make it tall, and put some supports on the side so it doesn't fall, would that be ok? Any suggestions please let me know...I'd like to help but am unfamiliar with this particular species.
 
I'm not a Crested expert by any means, I recently acquired my first 2 pair, but Cresteds like humid conditions, I would say the 29L on end would be better for him.
 
Hey Emily, Any enclosure that has a lot of height is good for cresties as they are arboreal geckos. If you do a search on this forum you will find some previouus pics posted of members enclosures. make sure you give them a hiding place and lots of stuff to climd on. Remember that they need the humidity as well, that is the only draw back to the screen enclosures, it is hard to keep a decent humidity level.
 
I have cresties, and I can tell you the glass is definitely better. One doesn't need as much space as that mesh one you have anyway, and it would be nearly impossible for you to keep up the humidity they need in the mesh.
