• In the past two days I have gotten emails asking about being requested to provide credit card info in order to register and also to make a post in the classifieds forums. PLEASE NOTE: In no instance will this site ask you for this sort of information. The only time any request for payment is made is if you choose to opt-in for a higher membership level, and that is done SOLELY through PayPal. Anything else is coming from a source other than this site. My guess is that this is coming through Google Adsense, but when I can get someone to send me a screen shot of this sort of request, I will know more.

    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

I Recently Bought A Sulcata Tortoise From Cruz Fernandez And Had To Rush Him To Emergency The Next Day. The POor Guy Possibly Has Chv, Tortoise HerPes, Which IS UnCurable And Possibly Fatal. HIs Gut Is Filled With Air, His Lungs Are Backed Up, His Eyes Are Swollen, And He Has A Lesion On His Tongue. Cruz Did Not Inform Me Of ThIs And ConTinued To SEll Me The Tortoise Dispite The Fact I Have Other Reptiles And That This Was A GIft For My Three Year Old Son. He Now Refuses To Address The Situation Even When I Provided Him Proof Through A Vet Diagnosis. He Just Won't Answer Me At All. He Also Is A Flipper, Bought Reptiles At An Expo And Then Started Selling Them For Twice The Price 5 Days Later. DO NOT BUY TRADE OR SELL WITH CRUZ FERNANDEZ
 
Rebecca can you provide pictures, emails, and a copy of the vet diagnosis? Was the tort shipped to you?
 
IF I Can Transfer My Phone Pictures TO Computer. My Phone Won't Do Screen ShOt Of Text MessAges. IDo Have Xrays Of The Tortoise I Can Put On Later. And It Wasnt Shipped, Picked Up locally
 
ANd SorRy My Phone Does This Stupid Cap Thing On Every Internet Typing, It Drives Me Insane Too.

The health issue is one thing, and please provide the emails, vet diagnosis, etc.
But as far as reselling critters, if they were healthy, well taken care of, and subsequent buyers knew that they had not been through a full quarantine, I don't see that as an awful thing.

You say the critter was in such dire straits it had to go to an emergency vet the next day. Did you not see the swollen eyes and so on when you inspected it on purchase?
 
He Was My First Tortoise and Just Noticed Lethargy At Time Of Purchase, Which Was Outside In 40 F And Dark. Next Day Is When I Noticed The Issue, He Is Aware And Does Not Answer With Anything I Say. I Blamed Lethargy On The Cold Weather Until I Warmed Him Up And It Continued. I Am Just Trying To Warn Other People Because He Trades And Sells Alot Of ReptileS. I Was Told To Post On Here About Him By A Few Reptil Group Owners After Telling The Story With My Proof. I Would Have The Diagnosis Posted On Here If My Phone Would Let Me. I Plan On Posting The Xray Pictures And Of Possible The Diagnosis When I Get Home And Get Time. I Can Not Put Th Texts I Dont Have Screen Shot. It Was All Through Text Not Through Email.
 
I Will Try To Take Pictures Of The Text Messages When I Get Home To Show Date Of Purchase Vs Date OfvVet Visit And How He Is Not Answering.
 
My Proof Is In My Gallery, I CAnt Add It To This Right Now For Some Reason, Will Still Post Pics When I Get home
