    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. Until the studies were done for paromomycin and ponazuril that was the accepted standard but the studies in bearded dragons included not only fecal checks but histopathology so unlike Albon which doesn't eliminate the infection but simply gets it under control until the immune system catches up those two drugs appear to eliminate the parasite from the animal (at least in bearded dragons).

In the last 5-10 years there has been an increase in the research in the treatment of reptiles and amphibians for coccidians including cryptosporidium with bearded dragons often being a test model. This is of value as many of the treatments currently used to treat these animals function as more of a coccidostat which doesn't actually clear the infection(s) but instead controls it until the animal's immune system gets the disease back under control. This is one of the reasons why stressed bearded dragons can often be diagnosed as positive (shedding coccidians) after an event such as shipping.
