I see 2 scenarios here.

1. The OP is just mad that he didn't get the snakes and instead they went to other people and is now trying to make them look bad?

2. The people accused of stealing who came forward and explained the situation are lying.

Personally, I am leaning towards scenario number 1 right now.

I think FFWC should have had a chance to finish their investigation before this was posted by the OP.

I agree with Steve and Kevin. Scenerio 1 seeems more beleiveable. I don't think the too that came forward are lying myself. As a matter of fact I respect them for making the post they made. Now the person that started this thread. I have no repect for what so ever. This family is going through enough without this kind of stuff going on. It's fine to think what you do. But you better be able to back it up. Or have someone back you up. Before you post it on this Forum.
 
Regardless of the outcome of this thread, I personally think that posting the manner of Curt's death was in really bad taste & had no reason to be brought up.

This whole thread is an example of bad taste. I think it should be closed until more proof can be found. This family is dealing with enough with out having Rumors spread all over the internet.
 
One Thing...

I have been into this hobby for a long time, and I have not once heard anything bad about Robroy at Glades. And if he vouches for Robbie, that is good enough for me... Something about the OP reaks of jealousy and/or extreme exagerrations.

A passing by any cause can leave those around you who cared in life very sad and full of emotions. Suicide is just an awful way to leave this world. It leaves everyone who cared for you with a lot of questions and feelings of guilt. Maybe Rob will see this all differently in some time and offer appropriate apologies. I think he really cared for Curt a great deal and he might be seeing things just a bit upside down right now.

Its Friday night folks so lets all raise and tip back a glass in memory of Curt. There, but for the grace of God, go I. May you find the peace in your passing that you could not find in life.

I'll raise my Glass in the Memory of Curt. I hope he has found peace also.
 
This will be my last post here but I have the ok (by the family ) to make these last comments. The family seems to think that if the thread continues that it will dirty Curt's reputation.

It is known that Curt always had surplus animals and often sold them cheap or gave them away, This is the way it has always been. So the fact that Curt was selling animals means nothing, he never sold his core collection.

I am not permitted to have hots so I am not upset that I was not able to get them. It is true that the 4 named people did take the entire collection and did give the afor mentioned reasons why. The family did want and need the snakes sold to bury Curt.

If it were true that curt did sell the golds cobras weeks ago then why did some get taken from crawford yesterday along with some others? Why was there over 100 freshly emptied snake containers. Curt kept great records and had pet tag numbers.

The family was ok with me starting this thread and due to the direction which it seems to be going now want to stop.

The names of the 4 people the took the snakes all came from the family, I don't think the family would or did lie, Fwc was also knew of this thread.

I am sorry but it just seems strange. You keep saying they need the money to bury him. That they were poor and had no insurance. Well I'm in the same boat and there is no way I could afford some of the snakes you say he had hundreds of. Did someone generously give him the snakes or what. Does this not add up to just me or what. There seems to be lots of holes in your story. I think there are several blanks that need filling in.

You are NOT alone in that feeling. Its just my feeling but I think the family dumped the snakes to cover funeral expenses and somewhere along the line they realized the snakes were worth more and now want to recover from that loss.
 
You know....though I know it won't happen, this is the first time that I can honestly say that I believe that a thread should be deleted from the BOI, and everwhere else for that matter.

It's a sad thing to see, what the death of a person can bring out in people. Instead of celebrating his life, and having respect and sympathy for his family, all we see is some folks deciding to air a bunch of dirty laundry that may, or may not, be true. I've seen first-hand what the death of someone can do to a supposedly normal bunch of people, it's amazing what greed and jealousy pops up at such a time.

This goes beyond "poor taste" IMO. If Curt's family wants this stuff posted, let them do it themselves. Otherwise.....have some respect.

I'm glad I'm not the only one then. Thanks for the back up on that one. I really don't want to make assumptions . But something just don't seem right with what Rabid Hobbit is saying. I think the family has made a big mistake using him as their spokesman.

I completely agree. I think the OP is going off alot of hearsay, and as someone that has only known Curt for a few years, when these people he is accusing have known Curt for so many more and were undoubtedly much better friends with him, "Rabid Hobbit" should have the common courtesy to keep his nose out of places it doesn't belong. And to "Rabid Hobbit", you have no dog in this fight. As has already been stated, if the family wants to expose this, let them, but don't go making a circus of Curt's death. Curt was a great guy and doesn't deserve to have a so called friend do what you're doing.

I agree with that. But I also think things need to be answered. If for nothing else but to Prove what is true and what isn't. I have a hard time beleiving that the family wanted all this brought out anyway.
I have said this before but I will say it again atleast lock this thread until someone can post some proof of what is going on. This man's family is going through hell right now as it is. I have been through 2 suicides in my family and I know how hard it is. All the questions and stuff going through their heads. Now this is being thrown in. I honestly feel until PROOF is provided this thread should either be closed or locked.
 
I agree with cat this thread needs to just go away. Its just distasteful. A fellow herper is dead and people seem to be fighting for the scrapes left over. Honor Curts memory with all he accomplished in life not this garbage.. Rip Brother

I think an IP search is in order and then a nice quality blanket party.Curt did an IP search as often as he could to figure out who the lieing pieces of scum were in this community.

I know I'd like to know who the scum of the earth is, so would Curt.

This thread is disturbing and extremely distasteful. To post the manner of death in a public forum is shameful.

To add insult to injury, some people may never read this entire thread and the "accused" will have their reputations tarnished forever.

This is what I've been saying in my head the whole time I've been reading this thread.

"Rabid Hobbit", it seems to me, just needs to feel involved somehow. I'm sorry guy, but broadcasting someone's death and then calling out fairly big, clean names and calling them thieves for the world to see is just not the cool thing to do. Just your ethics and morals in the way you've handled all this make me not believe you. Sorry bud, but I think posting this was a mistake for you. It made you look like a bigger ass than everyone that you accused of theft.
