    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Wanted Custom Heat tape job!!!

not a problem just keep in mind 11" wont be cut but in 12" pieces. all i need from you is a written out plan on sizes and ill solder them that way.

Ok will do. After everything is ordered I probably won't get it until at least next week so I will message you then.

Ive got a question? Those "tubs" did you get those from walmart? and the reason why I ask is will the heat tape melt the plastic holding the tubs up? I wanted to try this my self get a tub system like that but im worried that the heat tape will melt the back and kill my animals? I was hoping to do it with ball pythons please let me know if you have had heat tape on that plastic b4?

No you will not harm anything. Only way for anything to melt is if the flexwatt malfunctioned or the t-stat broke.

because its WAYYYYY cheper to get those tubs at walmart then to spend all that money buying other ones. well that makes me getting a new rack simple thank goodness

For those wondering i got the heat tape and its all soldered together and finished.

yea i understand that but some reptiles need the UVA UVB from the fluorescent lights. which reptiles that don't jump or climb and don't need the UVA bulb would suit a rack system like that?

Hey Rich, is there any other reason besides the 0.5" gap at the top that would make these unsuitable for snakes? If you simply placed something under each drawer so that it sat up that much higher would it not work? Also for the person who asked earlier about them getting too hot:

Thank you for contacting Sterilite. Our storage products are made of polypropylene and can withstand temperatures of approximately 180 degrees Fahrenheit and 15 degrees Fahrenheit. At the higher temperatures, the plastic can eventually become flexible and could warp or deform. At colder temperatures, the plastic may become brittle and may crack or rupture. We hope this is helpful.

Nancy Mahony
