Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them.     Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Dont rush it, this guys goose is already cooked. Take your time and put together the emails in sequence so they can be clearly read and understood.
 
So I never hear anything from Dan for a while. He never relpied except to ask whats going on after I received the snakes back. CHeck the date on this email.

Rainer, you are an old timer in the business, this thread is not about you and I don’t want to divert the attention from Dan’s actions, but why did you ship Dan a snake through the USPS? Didn’t you know that shipping snakes through the USPS is a federal offence? Was the second pair was also shipped through USPS, and returned how, USPS ground? Isn’t this hobby under enough heat already? How many times do we have to go through this? :(
 
This would make it 5 snakes I would have to send him.

Here is a pic of the first snake he said died. I promised him two snakes as replacement for the one he had trouble feeding after he contacts me 8 months later.. Since I already told him I would send two snakes several months prioir, I did not see the point of asking him for the dead carcass.

Here is a pic of the first snake I sent him. The one he said is a problem feeder and he was tired of working with:

I said I would replace the snake even though six months had passed and no
word from you as to the health of the animal. You said thhe snake ate for
you and you said it languished. Youir first email to me was very
threatening. I called you and I was kind enough to forget the email. This
spring you contacted me and I sent the snakes out. They came back to me as
and undeliverable address and dead. I never had any fatilies this year and
only one last year. Now you wait another couple months and you ask for
another replacment. I should not have agreed the first time.
No I will not do anything else.

I am sorry I have to disagree with you .

First, I should not have agreed to replace a snake that you did not contact
me about for 5 months. You been around since the 60's I would think that you
do know about certain snake edicate. The snake was in your pocession and you
say it did not eat but a couple times and then languished. Why didn't you
contact me a week later or two weeks later? Why wait and work with an animal
for 5 months to see if you could save it and then complain to the seller?

Second I was doing you a favor and being a nice guy to send you your
replacement. I even paid for the shipping a second time.AL, this was in
spite of you nasty first email. Can you imagine selling a snake to someone
and then 5 months later getting an email like that? I am sure you would not
respond in like manner.

Third the snakes were sent in a insulated box. I only ship in cardboard when
the weather in the destination area is permitting.

Fourth your address that you gave me was not a deliverable address (whatever
that means) so it was your fault. Now you blame me that the snakes came back
dead?

Just how far do you want someone to go for customer satifaction? I sent you
three snakes and paid for two deliveries.

Then there is you first email to me that you started off by threatening me
without even ASKING me if I would replace it. I called you and told you I am
not motivated by threats. You apologized and said you were drunk when you
wrote it. I overlooked it and said I would replace anyway. Funny thing what
is, what bothered me the most was your insinutaion that I sent you a bad
snake. I even sent you a picture of the snake before you purchased it and i
still have the pic of the original snake. It looks very fat and healthy for
a newborn. You can see the bulge of its last meal in the pic as well.

You conatacted me several months later to remind me of my promise to replace
the snake. I agreed to sending you two nice hypos for the one because they
were less money.

Now i get this email from you?

I have been doing this for a long time as well. You are my only bad
customer. I have had no complaints and if i did I am the type to bend over
backwards to fix the probelm because I am in a hobby and not a business and
thats the way I just am. I love the hobby and i wish everyone was as good as
me in treating other herpers.


This hobby seems to attract a lot of bad people. I am not one of them even
though you would like to make me out to be one. I am not the type to rip
anyone off (like you are insinuating) and I really resent that.

Dan it seems to me you are the one with a problem and your emails to me
speak volumes. The way you come across is not good.

I wish you would not go with your threat to go public because any accusation
is bad. But in this case I cannot be pushed around like you have been doing.

There already was a long thread about this and you even posted on it. I apologized and promised never to send snakes usps. It old history. Do a search on my name and you will see it come up.

Anyway Dan was using what he could to extort me and I was NOT about to send him two more snakes to shut him up. That would have been 5 snakes total for one that he conatced me for after he had it for 8 months.

Everything has a price. I was not willing to send Dan another pair and I had to pay the piper for it here.

Do you all see how Dan Felice was behind all this yet?

My apologies if you were already called on that. I’m getting old (as everyone else!), and every time I here “snakes” and “USPS”, I’m set in cruise control. :)
 
I hate to make excuses for an old fella that has been around but maybe Dan Felice has a drinking problem that he needs help with. That's what it sounds like to me. I think he got Justin confused with someone after a night of boozin' it up. Forgot to feed the snake that Rainer gave him and fell off the wagon......and hit his head hard. What do you think?

Rainer, I don't believe Dan cost you much of anything on the other threads. The posts focused more with shipping and then a debate on packaging, at least that is what I remember. In my opinion the issue with the post office cost you more than what Dan posted. I don't recall Dan starting either of threads. Am I missing another thread?

I read the other threads about Dan and have made up my own mind about what he posted on your thread. I believe if you keep to your word about the shipping you want have a problem with most here.

I just do not understand how Dan could have orchestrated all of it. It was another customer that brought it to the BOI.

All or some of that is possible but having a drinking problem is not an excuse for making threats and impersonating a police officer. Prisons, and even death rows, are full of people who committed their offenses while intoxicated with alcohol and/or illegal drugs.

However, if that is the case he needs to check into a rehab and get himself straightened out and as part of his 12 step program (should he choose that route) he would make a "moral inventory" of who he has wronged and make amends. If and when he got to that point coming here to this thread and apologizing to Rainer and to Justin would be a step in that direction. Again, it would not excuse his actions but it might explain them.

Stating things like "don't make me take this public", "is a frikin' single female hypo brooks worth more to you than your reputation" and "do the right thing rainer it'll be way cheaper in the long run", could be taken as threats, but could also be something stated by someone who felt they were wronged.

Ranier why didn't you post this on the BOI back when it happened?

Since I didn't see an e-mail from Dan confirming the address, is it safe to say you shipped them out without confirmation of the address?

It’s a possible yet not excusable explanation. A possible case of TUI (Typing Under Intoxication). ;)
