You got me Dan, one gecko sale and now I am a pro. Or maybe is it that I do not insult any customers I have had, may have, or do not want to have. I do not outright insult those that simply disagree with me.

Why not explain all of the thousands of great sales you had? Or did you sell a couple geckos in your day and that qualifies you to judge others?

Why not telephone some of the great zoos across the country and ask them about the quality of the animals I supply? Do you supply zoos? Have your reptile rooms been inspected by vets and staff from zoos to qualify as a vendor for them? I have. I am packing reptiles for zoos as we speak so give them a call and see how their display of my animals is hurting the eyes of the many public that views them.

Who do you know that have sold animals to zoo's?

Tom Crutchfield and Hank Molt have sold animals to zoo's for years, and yet there are bad guy threads about them on the BOI. I'm sure there are many others if I wanted to take the time and research it.

Just name the other guy's/gals that YOU know, that sell's to zoo's. I CAN find out, being in the zoo field for lo these many years. I can access transactions/acquisitions to AZA zoo's.

Just got two Viper Boa's from Dan of DTS Herp through his posting on Kingsnake.com This might sound picky but I wanted a Jet black subadult female who was not utterly vicious lol. So after about 3 years of checking back and forth on the clasifides finally found a pair offered by Dan of DTS HERP out of FL. I got a good price on the pair. From the pictures they looked like exactly what I wanted. I just got the pair today. I am absolutely blown away!! They are BEAUTIFUL! Better then Expected!

Very Pleased working with Dan, he's very fast on email communication, very attentive, fair with pricing, and shipped fast w/ tracking and with heat packs. I was actually surprised at the temperment of the snakes when they came out of the bag. Normally Viper Boa's have this "~i've just been violated~" look about them lol and they want to hide away for a few days. These were wide-eye, well rested, and fairly well mannered for being wild caughts. They also are in top shape. Really pleased with the sale. Kudos to Dan, if your looking for Viper Boa's (I'm sure he has other herps as well) this is the guy to buy from.

I'm trying to give the snakes a little R&R right now but i'll try to come back to this therad and give you all pictures of my evilicious little gems

So, Max, after 3 years of checking back and forth on classifieds for viper boas, I think its safe to say you were completely unprepared for them, and really don't know the first thing about their care and setup at all. I think those three years would have been to better spent getting to understand the species in general and how it thrives in captivity. Needless to say, if Danny is all that and a bag of chips, the guy who everyone should go to for viper boas, why wouldn't you just go to the source? Could it be that your breeder is Dan and Dan don't know squat?

This is RIDICULOUS! Are you a trained psychotherapist? If not then you really should never say such things about anyone, ever! This should almost be considered defamation of character. Really i've only been to this site 3 times now and i'm rather appauled at how it's run.

Allow me to break it down for you... what's ridiculous is the whining, but we'll touch on that later. Dan's tendency toward psychological instability is well documented in the form of his own words and actions. Statement of facts and observations of one's obvious instability do not equate to defamation of character.

Also, my status as a moderator does not, nor has it ever, precluded me from having an opinion and expressing it. The same holds true for any other moderator. We are more than capable of differentiating our duties as moderators from our personal participation in discussions. Hell, I'd even venture so far to say that we are overly lenient in situation's such as Dan's. Despite the fact that he implied that one of the moderators, who is a physician, molests his patients, Dan has yet to be permanently banned. We've given him a vacation or two from the site, but that's been about it.

Now then, allow me to actually put on my moderator hat and explain something else. You being told that you need to post using your full name is hardly cyberbullying, as you claimed. It's a very simple rule, and is very easy to follow. I have a hard time believing that your real name is actually "Max Powers." If you're unwilling or unable to abide by the rules, then don't waste everyone's time by posting on the BOI.

Oh, and as for your being "appauled" (perhaps you meant "appalled") at how this site is run... it's a big ol' internet out there, Max, and no one is forcing you to stay here. In other words, if you don't like it, you're more than free to leave of your own accord.
