In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

We decided to do a trade from an add I had here on fauna, I sent him pics of the dragon and he wanted to do the trade, his baby leo ($35 for my Orange male $55)

I was told on receipt that the dragon was "on the verge of death" so I told him to send him back, I know I sent a happy healthy head bobbing dragon and to send him back if he was unhappy with him.

He was packed in 50lb test weight box, in a snake bag, with shreaded paper, top bottom and on all sides.

I really think that buyers?selers?traders need to be VERY AWARE of this guy, he told me just hours after he said my dragon had dies that he was sooo mad about another deal gone bad and when I aked him why he was taking out a deal gone bad on me he wanted to know what my problem was.

I guess my problem is that I sent him a very nice subadult male dragon and now it is all of a sudden dead!

4 or 5 posts all in a row, with nothing but calling the other poster names. What are you like codyremmyloo's guardian angel or something?
you also should read the terms for posting in BOI if you wish to hang around.

will you please take down those sickly dragon pictures. i still cant believe you stand behind a 14 inch 9 month old dragon that weigh's 140 grams as being perfectly healthy and happy. those pictures only put you in your grave with it.

you blame him for something he did not have no control over, face it you seen he was a minor and figured its a minors words to yours. a reptile that dies in 4 days was not healthy to begin with.

people have let their beardies go months to almost a year without UVB light and ill proper diet and yet they did fine, small yes but they survived. beardies are hardy lizards, HECK i think he would have had better luck with a petco beardie.

you wont explain why its about 100+ grams lighter than what it should be. i dont think you even knew it was supose to be about 250-300 grams at about 9 months did you?

Case closed. everyone follow xelda's link

Sorry Wendy,

but you are not doing yourself any favors, you need to stop responding to the other thread, and let it and this one fall of the 1st page. Then you can move on, you have no case.

Anybody who reads this thread needs to check out the original dispute on this thread.

This is the original warning post for Dan Quinn, SELLERS BEWARE, this is the 2nd trade he has received that he kept the animals for a few days then said they died.

I know I have no case because I screwed up and sent a reptile to a minor, thats totally my fault!

I just hope that no one else makes the same mistake I did sicne this is the second time he has received reptiles that died very quickly while in his care.

If he was unhappy he should have sent him back but he wanted to keep him, then he refused to send back the carcass DOA

Nope, this is the thread started by you after Dan had already started one about this same deal. Regardless, it's against the rules of the BOI to start another thread when there is one existing.

The reason you dont have a case is the simple fact that you didnt answer the questions asked of you by the people trying to help you out, and you posted a picture of the beardie which you believed to be healthy and happy. It has been pointed out to you many times that your happy and health beardie was in fact under sized and skinny, and not what it should be at its age. The only mistake I see he made is that he didnt return the beardie to you immediately so it would die on you and not on him, but then again you both agreed he would keep it for a few days to see if he could salvage it.

You also say you shouldnt have shipped to a minor, but I dont know how true that is also. I would think the parents would know whats going on if he is receiving animals delivered. Also I dont know his background, but I have over 20 years of experience with reptiles with some breeding when I was 12. I grew up with a very understanding mother that did let me keep reptiles. Yes I lost animals, I still do, and I still breed geckos and snakes. Of course, My most recent losses were due to 3 hurricanes.

Im not attacking you so please dont take it that way, but I feel your wrong in this instance and you need to let it go. Thanks for your time.

I was obviously typing this while he was typing his, I had no idea he had started his thread unstil after I posted mine.

I did a search and did not fidn a thread about him sorry if I missed it!

I see you didnt respond to his post until 19 minutes after you posted this thread so its entirely possible you guys were posting bad guy threads about each other at the same time. Unforutately it still doesnt make you right in this instance.

I do have one question for you though was he suppose to ship at the same time or had you two agreed that he would ship after receiving the beardie?

Shawn McVay

I offered to ship first and he was to ship upon recept, when he emailed me that he was unhappy with the dragon I aksed him to shiphim back on my UPS account and he decided to keep him and not ship to me for a few days.

NO Return

Dan agreed to sent the dragon back on Monday which he did not, when I akjsed for the DC number he ignored me totally

then sent Dan $5 threw paypal to send the dragon back, only to find out he has no paypal, so I offered bidpay, he had no idea who they were, so I can only guess he does not have wany way to receive payments except money orders....

So I have set up a UPS pick up on my account for the return of the dragon, prepaid label.

Not sure if he will send it back at all

#1 Idea
HE WILL NOT SEND IT BACK BECAUSE HE KNOWS I WILL SHOW PROPER MEASUREMENTS AND TAKE IT TO THE VET FOR A REASON OF DEATH AND THAT WOULD BLOW HIS ENTIRE CLAIM

#2 Idea
THE ONLY REASON HE CAN POSSIBLY HAVE TO NOT SEND IT BACK IS THAT IF HE SENDS IT BACK IS TO AVOID THE TRUTH ABOUT THE DRAGONS DEATH, YOU ALREADY BELIEVE HIM ANYWAY SO EVEN IF I DISPOSED OF IT WHAT WOULD IT MATTER, THAT WOULD ONLY PROVE HE IS RIGHT ABOUT ALL OF THIS
IF I GET THE DRAGON BACK HE KNOWS I CAN POST THE TRUE MEASUREMENT WITH A TRUE TAPE MEASURE AND A TRUE REASON OF DEATH

Wow, almost 40 pages of posts (including the other thread) where you just keep posting the same garbage over and over, I've never seen somebody so oblivious to the relevant facts (and that says a lot, considering some of the threads).
The fact is you posted a picture of the animal YOU sent, that picture looks like a sickly wild caught animal (I know it's not, but that's what it looks like), so a no doubt miniscule measurement difference wouldn't matter, we've all seen your original live BD, and it is obviously the same one in the dead pic. You admitted you didn't know that it shouldn't be drinking copiously, which other BD people have said is a bad sign. You blame it on the fact that the kid is a minor, also irrelevant. and on and on............

I don't see the point of sending the beardie back. The tissue damage that results from being stuck in the freezer would preclude a proper necropsy.

My terms of sale state that they have to be returned, frozen in a ziplock, its just the simple fact of being an adult and being able to follow the rules agreed to with the trade.

Just curious here, but what do you do with frozen reptiles that are returned to you?

Ive only had 2 DOAs in 2 years, one was delivered 3 days late by UPS so I did nto haev them sent back, it was obvious that in the winter heat packs would have quit working and I had 3 Jacksons die in trasnit to CA in January, I replaced those

The 2nd was a baby dragon that UPS smashed the box and crushed the dragon, it was sent back with teh crushed box as proof and refunded

This one I would take to the Vet for a reason of death

Did you not know that once frozen a definitive cause of death cannot always be determined? This was pointed out to you in your "other" thread.

Are you reading the posts people are making or just typing and hitting enter?

You CANNOT determine exact cause of death if the body has been frozen.
