i met mike about a year ago off of kingsnake.i have had numerous conversations with him and have become close friends with him.its amazing the friends you can make just by trading or selling reptiles.first off let me state that every deal i have ever had with mike aka serpentboy went as smooth as can be..we all understand that there is a risk when we get animals in the mail.he obviously honored his word and did what was right as he has always done with me and othersIMHO i think thru all this ,you can see who the respectable person in this situation is.we have all made mistakes before and you learn from them.sounds to me like a person in this deal was sour before the transaction was made.coral snakes and scarlet kings are very hard to take care of ,maybe dan needs to stick with his other hots that he is familar with.i hate to see people get slammed on thier bussiness reputation because of one bad seed who recieved a payment when the snake alledgedly arrived dead.as for your rambling on dan about the marine corps....being a marine does not make you have integrity or honor thats something you must find inside yourself.maturity usally helps that one a little bit.me personally i came from a military family but never served.my father installed the old fashion values in me.so to sit there and expect people to side with you for your military service is quite ridiculous.i would be ashamed of yourself to even mention about your service record with your dishonesty and childish attacks on people.im not impressed at all.also to threaten somone with authorites is about ridiculous you are just as guilty as the person who shipped them to you!its situations like this that make you not want to buy stuff online from any one!!!

Tom, like I said many times, please pick up the phone and call me. If you do not have the money for the call, then email me and I will call you. As I said, the box stunk when the carrier handed it to me. It stunk so bad that the carrier handed it to me with his arm stretched. If you call, I can put you in direct contact within 5 seconds with references that you know and they will verify all the facts. If you do not call, then what can I say besides wait for the evidence.

And I did not mention these facts and a ton of other information and evidence, but some of my friends were so angered that they wanted to choke the kid after they viewed and confirmed my medical opinion that this poor snake was kept under poor conditions and had died to communicable disease under his care. And on top of it, he had the gall to use its dead body for financial gain. I personally thought this kid was under the influence of drugs or alcohol to think he could send a stinking dead snake or defrost and send this dead snake in its riddled condition, but it happened as sure as the sun rose this morning and he confessed. And I would bet the eyes of my four children on it. And perhaps he had it frozen and could not smell its stink, or perhaps his house stinks so bad he could not smell the difference, or perhaps he did not care because he thought I would do nothing because of the shipping methods he chose? I do not really know or care, but I only care if future consumers and the general public have this information available. Like I said, I am not a snake dealer and no one knows me and know one will know me, so I can care less about my name in this matter.

And on that note, I am very sorry and I apologize to the public that I did not report him sooner and permitted his con with a bribe of hognose snakes and his woes of his wife and expected child to influence me. But then again, the kid pleaded like a child on the phone to not report him, and since I have kids, I thought he had learned his lesson after yelling at him. When I saw recently that he ripped off another consumer, I went after him, and that is the only reason why this event made it to the Board of Inquiry in the first place.

And I wonder what gave you or anyone else the idea that I sent vulgar emails demanding more snakes from him? I already told you that he doctored those emails to his benefit after provoking me and he did not include the entire conversation and my entire emails. Did he include the emails of a few months ago when I checked and he confirmed that he owed me the hognose snakes? No, of course not, his is a smart criminal. The factual emails will be formatted properly on a later post. And remember I already warned and mentioned on my posts to not put and faith or trust in a single word or sentence he has written as they are all lies and misleading. The only thing he did state that was somewhat accurate, was that he paid for the snakes immediately without ever seeing a picture or receiving the dead snake back. And I already told you, he wished to use the dead body again or hide the evidence, so he asked me to mail it back to him. I did mail it and he tricked to give me the wrong address. What else can I say? Why don’t you call like many others have? If your his friend and if you are concerned about yourself, you will call.

If you do not call or email, then what else can I tell you but wait for the evidence and pictures of the snake? And I do not wish for you to assume that I am attacking you, but either your behaving blindly or you have not gotten it yet. Isn’t it clear and obvious that my references do not wish their names mentioned to avoid attacks from others on this forum?

And as to my military background, I asked for forgiveness before ever mentioning or disclosing my career, so if people ignored my request for forgiveness, then I suggest that perhaps they did not read the entire posts, just the sentences that mention straight forward wording. And this might be off subject, but it is rather perplexing that total complete strangers would even consider to attack a veteran who put his life on the line for 20 years to defend the rights that Serpentboy has to rip off people. If there was another way to verify my credibility in the seconds I had to respond to his initial thread, someone let me know, and I will keep it in mind in the future. But actually what are people asking me to verify? I was a customer of his who was a victim of crime and that is all. And I already said that the evidence was not handy at the time and it requires professional organization. I can understand specualtion, but give me a break, are some people so blind that they are willing to walk into the street without looking?

I am sorry that I am too busy with my other things right now and I will ask you for this: If my references and the photos will prove to you that he did knowingly sent a dead snake, and then prove to you that he did indeed confess to sending a dead snake, will you continue to still associate with him and do business with the guy? If you would consider doing business with him, then I am talking to the wall or someone that has no other resources for their hobby. And I can understand that you would not even want Serpentboy to know that you are convinced he is a fraud and thief, and that is fine and is your business. However if you continue to support him on a public forum, then your assisting a criminal, plain and simple.

By the way Tom, I did not mean the cohort wording to include everyone on this thread that responded or was speculative, so if I presented it that way, please understand that I am very busy with many things and do not have the time to properly place my wording.

Like I said, the longer this thread remains in view on this forum the longer it contributes to his defamation, hence, I will not respond to further speculation and inquires but will gladly speak with anyone who wishes to discuss this matter over the phone.

Dan, I don't have any cohorts. I have responded as any sane person might, only asking you to show your proof. If you have aces in the hole, it's showdown time. I have never met Mike, or Thomas Davis. However, I am really starting to like Mike, and I already know enough about Mr. Davis to know that if he said he saw the snake alive right before it was shipped, he did. You have posted a ton of threats and innuendo. Lets see some proof. Also you have stated that you have reported Mike to the proper authorities for shipping live venemous, next you say it was dead???? You can't have it both ways!

Good one david... I like that.. Ya know this took place months ago.. I dont know waht proof he claims to have,or proof of this confession I supposedly made. alot of things were said. I never said i sent a dead snake I did not.. There were talk of hoggies but had nothing to do with me oweing him.At the time in early summer I was collecting the hell out of them and he wanted some,but did not want to pay 4 them like everyone else was doing. So I said when I take care of the many ppl ahead of you IF I have ne extras I'll shoot you a 1.1.. He asked sevral times too for me to send him Tx corals... Alot could of been said that has not been posted... The fact remains I owe him nothing... And damn sure will not honor his so called proof 7 months l8tr... Why will it take you weeks to get all ur proof together Dan..? You say you record all your phone calls Play the part to Ben & Stacy where u were bad mouthing them and saying how much FREE stuff you got out the back of the store... blah..blah...blah.. Im still waiting on TX fish&game to knock on my door .... I guess your call to the shipping companies did no good. I shipped everyday since this thread has started... Like I said, pick up the phone and call. And take my apology if you were offended as no offense was meant. And thanks again to those who did call and provide assistance with this matter.

To let you know, I did make contact with Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission and the Texas authorities to provide them the details and it is quite time comsuming, moreso then worth it because I feel that nothing will perhaps be done to protect consumers from this fraud.

And as I stated earlier, the pics and the other evidence will follow and I should consider the Commission and Texas recommendations and findings before posting.

I am too busy now, my Varanus s. cummingi male is trying to hook up the my Varanus s. nuchalis. He is having difficulty mounting her but he is trying with several head twitches and grabing her behind the head. I have to go and supervise or the little gal might get hurt.

hey david,for the record i dint see the snake right before it was shipped i saw it approx a week or so before it was shipped and at that time it was very healthy,i saw it eat an earthsnake!,and aside from that i dont know,but i highly doubt that mike would ship a dead snake, and for dan well i tried calling:( no answer:( ,guess i'll wait for your post,,,,,,,,thomas davis
 
And the proof is in....

I just heard his CIA contacts Washington were realising top secret NASA spy photos that show the box being dropped off with heat vision you can clearly see a dead corpse of a snake.

I was unaware that dead snakes put off any heat.......So if these pictures exsist, wouldn't that mean it was alive? :D

Thanks for pointing out my ignorance I never took into consideration a snake is cold blooded heat vision wouldn't work.

Now if you read the beginning of the thread, Ben Seigel has already vouched that the snake was dead. Further, the day I received it at my home, I asked him to do a favor for me and photo the snake because at the time I did not own a digital camera. I took the corps to him, he saw it dead, he smelled it dead, and he saw its emaciated rotted diseased body, and he also took a picture of the dead snake for me. Now Ben does not deal venomous snakes and does not need the hassle of what some boneheads could twist this situation into.

i am not getting into this debate, and agree shipping and receiving a venomous via anything but airline approved shipping is stupid and crazy not only for yourselves, but for our industry as a whole. I will attest that dan did bring in a dead coral snake he said was shipped to him, and that i did photograph and email the pictures to him for his records. I did agree that the snake looked quite thin and that probably did not die overnight via shipping, but if this animal was shipped ground as i have read--thats just plain irresponsible, and could have been alive when shipped and still arrived in the condition it did. We will not even ship a $2 frog ground as it can take 3 days to get there. I imagine the snake was alive when shipped and slowly cooked or froze to death enroute.But yes there was definately a dead coral snake with a slightly stubbed tail that i took pics of for dan. I knew nothing about the specifics of the deal they had going or the trade they worked out, but if both agreed on shipping methods then both are equally to blame. This is the last i will comment on this as it seems my name keeps getting dragged into it--i figured i would post exactly what i know-not taking sides just stating the facts-yes there was in fact a dead coral snake--when and how it died i do not know.

Well if the snake was recieved with a "emaciated rotted diseased body" I think Ben would have said he thinks it was shipped dead. But nothing in his quotes say that.

The only fact we have is there is a dead coral snake.
According to DAN it was shipped Dead................no denying it was shipped dead. It was rotting.

According to Ben. It may have have been alive

Accor4ding to Mike it was shipped alive.


Someone needs to scan in their receipts that they tried to ship this dead snake back.

Someone else needs to find copies of their money order.

1. Is it to protect the carriers from any residiual venom? I thought he said if wrapped right there would not be any worries of endangering the carriers?

2. or is it so that he can ship a DEAD coral snake .....and mike would not be able to recognize that it was NOT HIS dead snake.

The fact are what everyone should look at.

Mike Facts: admits he did wrong in ground ship.
Question I ask everyone--Why would Mike (or any small business person) ship a dead snake?? That would be like holding a stick of dynamite for a second tooo long? Not a good business deal, and I don't think Mike would do it.

Dan fact: Said he love his reptiles? Question I also wanted to ask WHY WOULD YOU CHOP IT'S HEAD OFF. I even stop and pick dead snakes off the road (stink or no stink) and burry them, I have too much respect for snakes to even think about killing it once it is dead?
Fact #2 I have not read any post in support of Dan?

Fact #3 Everyone would like to see a photo of said "dead" snake
but none ever shown.

Facts--let everyone make up their mind and lets put this thing to rest.
