In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Dan Scolaro bad guy.

Hmm can post pics of new arrivals but can seem to post pics of the sick snakes you sent out. You know you can contact your vet and have them email there records. Now you know how to post image. We would like to see somethings that are relevant to this thread.

Thanks

Dan, You are quickly spiraling downward. This thread will never go away and sooner or later almost everbody in the reptile community comes by here. Now I know you'll say "it doesn't matter, my business is better than ever" That is what they all say right before they go under. You have showed up with hearsay, phantom emails, and calls to the vet. Sure Dan. I sense true desperation!

Chuck, cannot you figure things out for yourself?

He's not contacted because I told him the snakes would die if he continued to feed them rat pups. So they did what I expected despite the initial vet exams showed them clean. And lets not forget the offer of a free emerald he declined. He is a good man also and will one day be successful with his emeralds.

Dan

**I did not contact Dan about the multiple vet visits, I was not looking for compensation, don't hold his inaction against him on that account.

You told me that feeding a 4.5' snake a rat pup is too heavy for it and it would wind up regurgitating. An adult mouse is smaller than the either girls' heads. My CBB male that I've had for some time eats rat pups, the other male (that I got from Dan) is doing fine eats f/t rat pups and is as puppy dog tame as an emerald gets. They're in great health.

You also told me that by confining them to a 10 gallon terrarium, they won't wander and wandering makes them regurgitate. These are 4.5 - 5' snakes we are talking about.

I blew off your advice because none of the other people I talked to, including my vet and the person I got my CBB male from, felt the same way about these things and I figured your experience level with them wasn't so great.

The third visit to the vet, after the Baytril wasn't doing anything, the vet told me that it could be wasting syndrome (a symptom of IBD) because they were getting so thin so fast.

I don't want to bash anyone. Dan really tried to help out and do what he could to make things right. I wasn't looking to Dan to be an ETB expert. I just don't think he had the resources for it and when the IBD word came up, I had to chime in.

I also don't want anyone going around thinking it's all that and a bag of chips just because people don't complain. I don't like to complain, I hate it when things don't work out. I was willing to take my lumps because I bought a couple of cost-effective emeralds and I knew the risk I was taking.

Just because nobody tells you that your fly is open doesn't mean that your fly isn't open. If something I sold had IBD, I would want to know so that I could look at my collection and start seriously segregating. It's an intense problem. I had no idea that it seriously could have been IBD before now.

I didn't post here to bash Dan. I posted here because if there is an IBD problem, I want to know. Before the one girl died, she was falling off the perch. I didn't think much of it because I figured it was because she was weak but it could have been neurologic.

He said OK but emailed a week later to say it puked a pup and tried to force feed it abother pup.

Dan

I did not attempt to force feed it a pup, ever. I had offered it another, but it refused it.

Don't accuse me of being that ignorant. I would not ever watch any snake gurge and then force it to eat right after. The girls were forced once by the vet and were pumped full of liquid carnivore diet, but that was a month after that occurance.

Yea, I think I mentioned several times that feeding CB emeralds is different story as compared to wild caughts.

And you could of just asked me if those snakes were near the costa ricans but they were in a different location all together. And recall that I warned over and over and over about vets and emeralds? Vets are experts at injecting them with all sorts of goodies and the drop dead the next day.

In any case, you will produce some great emeralds some day I am sure.

Dan

Did you say how's business Chuck?

Great. More customers emailed to tell me what a jerk you are and how this post means I am a wonderful salesman to consider extending my guarantees.

Including the other sales today, I did happen to sell that dark emerald just about an hour ago.

Where's that boidsmith dude who low balled an offer for it. Tell him its sold.

Dan

Chuck, and stop suffering from delusions of grandeur as anything you do or say will never harm anyone's business. Actually I cannot recall seeing anyone not buying anything from anyone when they needed or wanted it despite what some goof said about them.

Anyone reading your garbage see's right through it and your motives are nasty and mean.

I sell reptiles for fun, and you make it even funnier.

Dan

Erik, you are a great guy. I will take care of your issues with the emeralds. You are the type of person we all would love to see succeed with them. When I send you a fat cat female soon for nothing, don't be surprised.

Dan

I need the results of this necropsy. I have to figure out how to sterilize the enclosure.

Thanks for the offer, Dan, but I already have them replaced awaiting space. If it is IBD, I need to find someone that sells bleach wholesale. Or give up on this.

IBD can travel via mites. Which means one snake with IBD can be in the basement, and the other can be in the office 10 miles away. A few stow away mites in the clothes can bring the two together.

Like me. I didn't complain because there's nothing that you can do about it. It's well past the giving me my money back time and I'm not taking any other snakes from you.

There you go dan. Read it again.

He dosnt want ANY snakes from you. PERIOD!

And for the record, my vet (I don't know if I'm allowed to post his name) comes highly regarded and has references from the Oregon Zoo (that houses Emeralds).

What IBD? There is no IBD? There is PMS and FBI and CIA but no IBD.

Put up or Shut up. That vet report seems to say otherwise.

Post a new vet report from your own vet on a few animals that are tested.

What if Eriks animal shows positive? what will you say then? offer more free stupid sick animals?

"" offer more free stupid sick animals?""
Come on Alicia no need to insult the animals !! ;)

Dan, do us all a favor and keep on a typing.. Randy

I sure hope that necropsy Erik is going to have done shortly comes up negative. Knowing full well you sold a boa with IBD, and now have another customer expressing genuine concern, you have to be quite the scumbag money-grubbing lowlife to continue on making sales.

But...I guess you'll get the stray buyer on KS that don't know any better. I wonder what they would say if they had a chance to read this thread.

Hey...here's an idea!!! If you're so sure they will be happy customers, why don't you invite them over to this thread and allow them to read all this? You wouldn't be afraid of hearing the words "can i get a refund", would you?

Send them over palo! Let those new customers read this. Its only a matter of time that they get here on their own and read it anyway. So invite those new customers over. Let them get acquainted with the real Dan "The Scumbag" Scolaro and his slimy scummy ways.
