    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Got my Boiga Cynodon in today. Perfectly packaged, beautiful snake. Completely as advertised! A buddy got an Amazon Tree Boa in the same shipment which looks equally fantastic. The weather took another cool turn here in Vegas and Dan anticipated it and included a heat pack. Probably wasn't necessary but is greatly appreciated. After having alot of Mangrove Snakes for quite some time now I wanted to branch out into other larger species of Boiga and this one is a beauty!

William, we are happy for your good fortune, that you got a nice snake. Undoubtedly Dan sends out good stock at times. However, in the interests of presenting a balanced picture, I believe anyone doing busines with DTS should do a search and make an informed decision prior to purchase, that is what the BOI is all about.

Should not "good" transactions carry the same weight as "bad' ones? As I've mentioned before, I can only impartially comment on actual transactions I've been party to..as these are the only ones I know all the facts therein. It is what it is and this was a fabulous deal. BTW, the snake took a chick w/in 20 minutes of being in its new cage. I usually don't try to feed new arrivals so soon but I had a surplus chick from last night's feedings and figured what the heck. I am pumped about this snake!

Billy, the linked thread above was for those who wish to read and make up their own mind. Again, I'm happy you got a good snake, and a good experience. Others say that they have been less fortunate.
 
In a perfect world good transactions should carry as much weight.

But in the real world its how you deal with problems that seperate the good business/breeders from the bad. Dan doesnt deal with problems. He swears up and down it's his customers fault and then blocks their phone number and emails.

To me that is BAD business.

What I dont understand is why folks want to play russian roulette?

Dan is the only one that I have found selling D. acutus and guess what... I still dont have one. To me that is one of the most beautiful snakes on the planet. I had the great fortune of working with one while training with my mentor on 'hots'. Until I find another source I wont ever have one in my own collection.

IF I would have had the forethought of saving the post... I would link you to where he called me everything but a white boy when I told him I wouldnt buy from him because of how he conducted himself in that thread.

That is another example of Dan's BAD business.

I've had one person tell me that they didn't want to do business with me. I responded with "Im sorry you feel that way and I hope you find what your looking for". It's very simple, you cant please everybody, but you dont have to cuss out folks just because they dont want to send you their money.

You got lucky with a good transaction... congrats.

There are Deinagkistrodons available most times.

Randall... it seems like the only time I think about checking the hots section. DTS is the only one with them. Maybe other ARE selling them and Im just missing them. :shrug01: I would be willing to bet you have seen Bobby's... that thing is just beautiful.
 
Yeah.... Bobby told me they were very hot and to stay away from the pointy end when I was working with his.
 
I just got A Brazilian Rainbow and two Columbin Rainbows Form DTS with no problems. The place i tried first didn't return my call for 3 days. (Veiled Chameleon.com) After waiting 3 days i just went with DTS. They called after i place my order. I had my snake by the time the second place i tried called back. (Mark Lucas). I was very happy with Dan. Mark Lucas and Veiled Chameleon suck IMO. Someone calls whating to place a order and it take that long to call back. In my book that's not good business.
 
Good experience with Dan also....Solomon Island Boas........people r more willing to post their bad experiences then the good ones, that just human nature so of course their is more bad post then good posts.
 
Amen! "Bad Guy" posts are the blogosphere's equivalent of a car wreck....everyone slows down to take a look. Just look at the number of hits on a bad vs. good posting. I could be the biggest tool in the book in a certain transaction and come in here w/selective data/facts and slant the "report" anyway I want. Most of us don't know the source of a posting from Adam/Eve so to formulate a concrete opinion of someone based upon what in all actuality is heresay is a slippery slope.

Bad reports are not to be discounted however all should be taken w/a grain of salt.

More often than not, the reports saying "Bad Guy" are followed up by the alleged "Bad Guy" publicly making a fool of his or her self by acting like an idiot.

Regardless of Dan's positive business transactions, his attitude toward me, and the level of intellect which he has shown in a large number of his posts on this site will keep me VERY far away from him when it comes to doing any kind of business.

Yes, Bad reports SHOULD be "Taken with a grain of salt", however the actions and attitudes of the people themselves speak worlds louder than ANY NUMBER of positive or negative transactions.
 
I would just like to know how many people are getting paid to say nice things about this guy...He is trying to get business off here by havin pepople say nice stuff about him..NICE TRY DAN!!!..Your business will always suffer cause you dont know how to be a decent contributing memeber to society...Vegas didnt you post in his last "goodguy" thread as well...??I think BOI rules state if there is a thread started on someone,you are supposed to post there and not start a new thread on them...
 
Thanks for not letting me down there skippy! I knew my "Good Guy" post would bring out the "paid for" accusations sooner or later. The Sports Books here in Vegas had the over/under at 5:1 that someone would make that accusation. Why is it that the posting of a great transaction w/this guy elicits such juvenile bile...don't answer that..rhetorical question.

I had a great transaction w/Dan Scolaro..and by the other replies so have quite a few others. Sheesh people, why do so many take it personally?

Is this not a forum to post both good and bad feedback? Am I not w/in the theme of this site to post an honest and factual recounting of a transaction between two people that had a mutually beneficial result for both parties?

Again, for any disbelievers or conspiracy theorists reading this..I am not Dan Scolaro, not related to Dan Scolaro and not being paid by Dan Scolaro.
