Good Guy Dan Scolaro DTS Reptiles

Thanks for not letting me down there skippy! I knew my "Good Guy" post would bring out the "paid for" accusations sooner or later. The Sports Books here in Vegas had the over/under at 5:1 that someone would make that accusation. Why is it that the posting of a great transaction w/this guy elicits such juvenile bile...don't answer that..rhetorical question.

I had a great transaction w/Dan Scolaro..and by the other replies so have quite a few others. Sheesh people, why do so many take it personally?

Is this not a forum to post both good and bad feedback? Am I not w/in the theme of this site to post an honest and factual recounting of a transaction between two people that had a mutually beneficial result for both parties?

Again, for any disbelievers or conspiracy theorists reading this..I am not Dan Scolaro, not related to Dan Scolaro and not being paid by Dan Scolaro.

I can tell you why these accusations come about... It's because it has happened before! If you read some of the other threads about Dan, you'll see that there were occasions where (if I remember correctly) Dan himself made alternative accounts in order to attempt to boost his reputation. Also, people had ADMITTED that they had been bribed in some manner or another by Dan so that they would post about him.

I'll have to go back through all those bad guy and fake good guy threads one of these days, and link these instances here...

Moral of the story? Dan is not the most honest person out there (seems like a common trend among "Bad Guys"). I would avoid him personally at ALL costs.

Good experience with Dan also....Solomon Island Boas........people r more willing to post their bad experiences then the good ones, that just human nature so of course their is more bad post then good posts.

The REAL good guys WOULDN'T have long threads with more posts because they never took the time to make as many enemies. It seems to me that Dan did...

Just received a pair of Red Eyed Crocodile Skinks and the transaction couldn't have been better. Fast shipping, great packaging and very healthy animals. I was happy with my transaction for sure.

UPDATE : 8/7/2010

Had a discovery today. The Red Eyes both ended up being males. They both came in great, but I honestly don't think I'd order from Dan again after this has happened.

So I'd say this is a neutral review more then anything else.

I did and all in all it wasn't that bad. Dan was pretty good in the messages I received. I've decided I'm just going to call it good and order a few females from Ben S. if he's got any available. They're a great price and then I'd actually have a 2:2 ratio going on.

You started a thread about a known bad guy, then when people replied with their opinions you gat a real attitude and began to accuse anyone with a different opinion of jumping on the pile and such. If everyone stayed out of any transaction they were not in, the BOI wouldn't work. But, I don't, and it does.

Waay back when I came in and innocently posted the results of my first transaction w/Dan...not knowing any of the history whatsoever. I was so new to this site I didn't even realize you could do a search on someone. I obviously erroneously thought I was doing a service..in retrospect it was a naive assumption on my part. I absolutely had no idea the magnitude of the can of worms I opened was!

I was absolutely blasted. My integrity was questioned as were my motives behind the post. Basically it was a public lynching. Any person w/any modicum of self respect would take umbrage at the accusations levied if you were the author.

I am anticpating hatchlings soon from my group of Mangrove Snakes and Gonyosoma. Would it be a stretch to anticipate that if anyone posts an inquiry regarding me when I post them for sale will be met w/something like "well, I've never dealt with him personally but he has posted Good Guy threads about Dan Scolaro in the past so I'd avoid him like the plague"? I will be curious to see what develops. Hopefully w/the waiting lists I have for these I won't have to advertise but you never know.

If I'm "guilty by association" so be it. Should I provide references when neccessary will they be tainted as well?

I can only speak for myself. I would never blast someone just because they posted a good guy thread about someone. Your transaction went smooth.... you got lucky. I quite frankly dont remember enough of your posts in reguards to what Im gonna say next... so I couldnt tell you if it fits you or not.

Like I said... I dont base my thoughts and actions just because someone posts a good guy thread about a person that is questionable. Now if someone wanted to continually defend a person that is in the wrong ... and has been proven in the wrong... then yes.... that someones character comes into question. If they dont see anything wrong with the bad guy... then they think like the bad guy.

But just relaying a lucky transaction.... I cant see anyone here on fauna holding that against you.

I think I've been somewhat clear in my defense..I guess I just have a problem having to defend myself for merely utilizing this Forum in its intended purpose.

If I am blessed w/the neonates I'm hopefull to get (don't want to taunt karma here..LOL) and do end up posting some for sale to the general public we'll just have to see what happens.

Sure seems mature and unbiased to me. This guy doesn't know me from Adam and I personally would never levy such a personal attack on someone I had never met nor even conversed with. I think if you read the entire thread there are the obligatory comments about me being a plant for Dan..some guy in this thread I think who goes by IraqVet or something like that piled on with that gem.

Do you think such a comments were necessary? Trying to be cute and funny at someone else's expense seems to me to be more detrimental to the purpose and validity of this Forum than any of my Good Guy posts. At the very least it serves as a dilution of the overall intent.

Not sure if I understand. You are referencing a post that I have never seen. According to you, it was made 3 months before you started this thread. I never saw that, and have only been speaking about THIS thread. I have been called names before, I got over it. If you are going to carry the attitude everywhere with you because of what someone once said, life is going to be difficult for you. I suggest that you get over it.
By the time Iraqvet started on you in THIS thread, you already had an attitude. You were waiting for someone to say something that would offend you. Guess what, if that is what you are looking for, you will always find it.
I think that you are looking for it when you about people giving you a hard time when you go to sell you offspring. Actually, I think that you were looking for it when you started this thread...
