    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Daniel and I orchestrated a transaction a couple of months ago... not a large transaction. Just some locale floridana,a male LTC locale elapsoides, a pair of white oaks, and a BTS for the girlfriend... Every animal came to me with an accurately described feeding response (including a scarlet king that ravages fuzzies!!!)... managed to have a minor mix up but the circumstances behind us meeting up were somewhat unique in that we agreed to meet up as we live within a couple hours of each other to avoid stressing the animals w/ shipment. Problem was we had hectic schedules and could only do it @ night... with a glance I signed off on them and aside from talking snakes for a while I was on my way... I notified Daniel immediately about the circumstance and he was upfront and cordial about swapping out anything I was dissatisfied with... even though I took possession of the animals in person. I decided to hold off on that as w/ today's gas prices it simply wasn't economical to kill a tank or so of gas for a male ratsnake... plus he'd immediately agreed to right anything. Figured if it came to it we'd just work something out later -- if it even mattered then. The ratsnake in question -- even though it fed well -- expired unexpectedly. Was neither a defunct animal nor due to poor husbandry. Again facing the dilemma of cost-effectiveness I simply took it as a loss. Not forsaking his offer to replace it -- just it took a while for us to find a time to be able to meet initially and over-all I was pleased so 'it was what it was...' just a hatchling not intended to make it. Out of the blue he contacted me to offer me a couple of VERY locale specific animals I was looking for in order to round out a project. Funny thing is I mentioned the specifics as to what I was looking for in our 'roadside' conversation and he managed to find them and offer them to me at a very reasonable price. Especially knowing I'd probably willingly pay more! This is the kind of business practice that goes beyond sheer customer satisfaction. This was not him simply providing me w/ a holdback or filling out the 'order' w/ a replacement animal. This was a guy going out of his way to help me pair a locale matching of animals he does not even breed. I am indebted to him for it... still amused that I was 'listened' to and he went above and beyond to not only fulfill an obligation I had passed on but to go so far as to actually help me improve my collection! All this plus he's really rather knowledgeable about many things herp-related and a nice guy -- dare I say a GOOD GUY! Thanks...
