    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I think in captivity theyre not poisonous to humans. Its the certain bugs they eat that produce the Toxins on their skin. Correct me if im wrong anyone!

Thank You for the information, I am thinking about buying dart frogs for mating but wasn't sure if you could handle them or not, if i own an animal i don't want it to sit in its cage all day.

Can you guarantee sex of the cobalts? I would like some if you can

Thanks
Tom

tysonmccrary - PDFs may not be toxic if captive bred, but they are not animals to be handled. They are much like fish... set up a nice pretty tank and look but don't touch. If you're looking for a frog you can take out and handle, these are not the frogs for you.

Thank You EnchantedForest, I decided not to get PDF's but to get me some Red Eyed Tree froglets so that I can mate them, do you know if its possible to mate frogs from the same clutch? Thanks again for your reply back.

Frogs arent good pets to hold and play with. theyre better left in their cages. Frogs are highly sensitive to their Surroundings so any chemicals on your hands at the time, including soap could possibly harm the frog. If youre looking into getting a pet frog, i would recommend a Whites Tree Frog, or "Dumpy Tree Frog" as they are also known. Theyre much larger than Dart frogs and are easier to care for and much hardier. You can also handle them more often but do so carefully since they still are sensitive. :)

Yes it is possibly to breed animals from the same clutch, its just bad breeding practice. It's not too hard to get unrelated RETFs, you might want to eventually trade animals off, or get some unrelated froglets, and breed unrelated males to females.

does anyone know where i can get a pair of whites dumpy tree frogs?

they arent poisonous in captivity but you still cant really handle them, it stresses them out alot. it can even kill a few species cause they get so stressed. they need big tanks for such small animals and they do best with live plants so you kinda have a small jungle in your room, its better observing them and there behaviour so you dont need to hold them.
