So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Dartanya Hausburg / GW Reptiles - Breeding Loan Gone Bad

You are absolutely right, there are two sides to every story. However, things prove difficult when things are not in writing. Unfortunately, this is someone I thought I could trust and it is not in written contract form, however i do have actual text of him saying
"Regardless of if we had a deal or not, it's your responsibility to feed your animals".

No one should attack you, you're exactly right, and I have done my best to promote what has happened without any misrepresentations and present the truth as I know it to be. I don't know many big name people, but if necessary I'd like to think those that do know me would be willing to back up my story.

Ultimately, I am a sad-hearted pet owner that made a mistake. I have nothing to gain from this, except to get back the animals I have had since they were hatchlings. I'm really sad that I've lost someone that I considered a friend till this strange, ugly situation.

I wanted to report that as of 9pm today October 20th, I have received my 3 female ball pythons back from Dartanya.

After some difficulty and general rudeness, a police deputy escorted me to the county line where we were supposed to meet. Dartanya then claimed that he had agreed upon another location with the deputy in charge of the case that was not present, so we had to drive an additional 15 miles because Dartanya refused to come to the county line as he had originally agreed upon.

We met at a gas station, and his fiancee', whose name I believe is Kelly, walked over and returned my snakes in a rubbermaid container with the deputy witnessing. I told her that I had some of Dartanya's rodent bins from his delivery 3.5 weeks ago, as well as a trash bag full of frozen feeders that he had given to me (mind you, he had given these to me because he said he couldn't really sell them because they had gotten too bloody and looked really bad). When I tried to return these things to her to try and smooth things over, she said "I don't want it", and walked away.

The deputy took note and the final police report states that I tried to return his rodent pans/lids and frozen feeders and that he refused. I'm not sure where he will try to go with this, but I sincerely hope that he will let everything be.

I am happy that my snakes have been returned seemingly unharmed and that Dartanya was not charged. I wish I still had my "friend" Dartanya, but i suppose that is a life lesson on trusting people. For what it's worth, I am sorry that all of this happened and I wish that Dartanya would have allowed for this to be worked out in a professional, friendly manner or would have carried out his end of our agreement.

Thanks to those of you who supported me with PMs and in this thread, and if anything further arises, I shall post it.

Glad to see you got your snakes back , and i wouldnt worry to much about him trying anything further or anything because like you said the officer noted to the report that he refused to collect his items that you tried to return .. so it was wriiten in the report and that makes it offical and if he tried anything it would be used against him .. so dont worry , just be glad you got your snakes back and move on dont give him another thought ...

beware this seller MIMIKOS1 has scammed me out of thousands of dollars. STUPIDLY i trusted this man and whent into buisness with him, he promised all the words someone wants to hear. i was to keep my buisness at his location in Borne Texas i would teach him all the tricks of the trade and we would divide profits as fair. After a Serious Car accident that laid me up in bed for 3 months, i called when i finally got the ability to answer my cell, he NEVER CALLED ME DURING THE WHOLE TIME I WAS OUT. i called over and over emails, house vistis, even confronting him at a reptile show. He is crooked as a any scam artist. i was only 19 at the time. after this i lost my apartment from a complete loss of my entire buisness and contacts. after consulting police it turned out that he had done his homework and since i had no legal papers showing that we had a buisness deal he got away with everything, EVERYTHING I HAD EVER WORKED FOR.
MIMIKOS STOLEN LIST> deceased collection of 5 extremly rare primates, 2 red kangaroos, A FULL SIZE MALE TIGER, and a freezer full of other rare animals that John has a list of. stole my entire buisness of Skeleton cleaning Beetles and all of my equipment, freezer, dehydrator and completed skeletons> reticulated 12ft python skeleton, 3 rattlesnake skeletons, a Tayra that died on HIS property and i completed which i NEVER got paid for.so sick, he laughed about being my partner and hid his evil very well. Also stolen, 4 columbian hypo boas, granite ball python, pair of false water cobras. PLEASE BEWARE. i will warm every person i meet who is in contact with this thief. BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE.

i am a taxidermist and an avid live exotic enthusiast. my work leads to medications and reserch that benifits YOUR herps and mammals my closeminded friend. my weirdness is why your little money makers have care :D. my reply was just a warning to fools like myself against arrogance such as you are exhibiting. are you really Peete mimikos in disguise?? wouldnt suprse me. if the world wasnt consumed by hatered then this animal business would be absoulutly booming now. but alas, lets say some things are better dealt with dead lol.

This issue has already been addressed by the moderation team. I wouldn't have bothered mentioning it, but it seemed the easiest way to put the matter to rest.
Btw, rather than add to the off topic posts, the Report Post feature (that little red bordered triangle below the profile section, next to the karma scales) notifies the moderation team of the problem.

I will be the first to admit I really know nothing at all about vending at show, so please do not think I am just being confrontational or difficult here. I just do not understand how one thing has to do with the other.
Even if sharing tables is not allowed, wouldn't that be a matter between the Daytona promoter and the vendor who secured the table?
I do not see how it has to do with a breeding loan made, just because it has to do with the same two people.

If GW Reptiles did not really make this deal, why were they sending the OP rodents for a few weeks, then suddenly not sending them?

You cannot change a contract, verbal or written, after the fact. If the deal was what the OP says, GW Reptiles cannot later on decide they did not make a good deal and now get to change the terms of that agreement.

Just thought I would inform everyone that Dartanya is, in fact, trying to sue over this.
It's really sad, considering I have a police report stating everything that he did, including the fact I tried to return his bins and other items that he had GIFTED to me, and he flatly refused. This will be interesting.

Ehhh dont let it bother you , you actually have the law on your side cause you went about it the right way ..
the judge will either throw him out of court or put all your fees and losses onto his tab for wasting the courts time ..
I'd even bet they will make an example out of him ..

its gonna bite him in the ass if hes actually serious about this ..
make sure if you do make it to court to get the officer that was present , called into court on your behalf ..
