    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Seems like Dave might be experiencing problems with his communication skills. I understand the possible mistake in sexing and also agree that it could have been an honest mistake but there is no excuse for ignoring a customer, past, present or future.
I have been emailing for a couple weeks requesting infomation about the snakes I had purchased from Dave without a reply. At the time of purchase I advised that I would follow up with an email requesting this infomation and he agreed to supply the infomation. Before the purchase he was all over the place replying to any emails sent. I have since decided to carry on without the requested information but also to direct future purchases elsewhere.

Yep its amazing I post on fauna and you email me 30 minutes later. Your right dave that email you posted was the last time you contacted me. Dave did you forget that the time I posted on fauna and the time you emailed me where on there? My post 1:23pm ... your email 1:43pm both on the 19th. Come on Dave you have to cover your tracks better than that. Dave you would not reply to any email I sent and I even left you messages on your answering machine. Dude you wouldn't talk to me then, why are you trying to talk to me now that I posted that you where dodging me in private. Whats going on with the snakes I purchased from you. I know there is a story would you care to let us in on it? Your friends started to explain the story about the snakes to my girlfriend while we where downstairs but the guy there kicked the girl in the leg and told her to hush just as she started. So tell me whats up with these snakes. Dave to be honest I told you when I was there that I would be in the market for more hoggs (which I am) but I will purchase from other sources. You talked a good tale while I was there and offered all sorts of assistance during the deal but right after the email you asked me to post on fauna about our transaction you stop answering emails. All I want from you is the information about these snakes I purchased from you. Supply me with that information and I will verify it and we will be done, easy enough.

I will refrain from any further comments on this thread unless personally addressed because an attempt at suppling the requested information has been received from Dave and upon verification our deal will be considered over.

Who are you talking bout? Was this girl bout 4 yrs old? I don't remember that.@ ALL. NOBODY knows ANYTHIN bbout ANY of MY ANIMALS except me. Read youe 1st post on me. Since ALL this "happened" why'd you buy from me? Especially with kicking going on? Dude......get real.

DAVE EAST TENN HONEST MAN

Sounds like possibly an honest mistake on the balls that could happen to anyone that is not familiar with sexing Balls on the shipping or receiving end. Female Balls probe deep, and the Males swallow the probe 9-14 scales deep. The Post on the Hoggs starts out as a praise on how nice the collection was, and sounds like they were hand picked. As far as info it sound like he passed the info that was supplied to him at his purchase. I have purchased many times from Dave and have been real pleased. I am sure if I ever had a problem, he would resolve it in a fair industry standard. I am sure he was not trying to get over on anybody. He is a well respected guy in the business, that has supplied some of really killer animals to the hobby over the years.

I thought I would come to Dave's defense a bit on here. I have been friends with Dave for about 2 years now, since we began talking back and forth after becoming acquainted from kingsnake and other forums. Regarding the ball pythons I would not refund to anyone until the animals were back in my possession and were in the same shape as they had been before the deal. The reason behind the refund is unimportant all that matters is that Paula is unsatisfied which is enough reason to ship them back.

I also thought I would mention Dave has difficulty at times getting back to people within a quick time frame. I understand the reason behind this as he is an extremely busy person. I also know that almost every single big breeder I have either purchased from or had friends purchase from have about the same quality of communication skills (and a few unnamed are far worse). If the average herp keeper had the number of animals that these people have and maintained a high quality of husbandry (that all animals deserve) then the time we spent on the computer sending and responding to emails would be drastically cut down. This is not an excuse to not responding as it is important to maintain communication but trying to give an explanation to the slow responses that are a common place when dealing with someone who is using the hobby as a source of income/business.

Confusing thread if I have ever read one.

Concerning the Balls,as was stated,if missexed,they should be replaced. It doesn't seem like there is a problem that can't be resolved on either end to me.Standard procedure is for the seller to receive the animals,then send the money.The seller always has his reputation on the line,while the buyer can pretty much say anyhing they want.

The Hogg deal is quite strange.Elated with the quality,a glowing post is made when arriving home.A few days later a negative post is made,with a statement made inferring that friends tried to hush something up.Not saying that Steve is making this up(I sure wasn't there) telling the truth,misinterpreted the alleged kick, or the kicker had a leg cramp,but if I am at a prospective seller's house and see someone giving a warning kick after asking questions,I am out the door in a heartbeat..I don't care if the snakes are made of gold.

Now,if there is more than meets the eye that a negative poster wants to discuss in a public forum,that is a different story,but what has been discussed publicly is a bit strange.Anytime I make a post on a public forum,I always include an e-mail address for confidential replies. Tim Frazier

You will have a hard time finding 6 people that will be able to say anything about the evening I picked the snakes up at your house because to my knowledge there where only 6 "near" adults (excepting the 2 very young kids one was 2 the other was 4) in the house with 2 of them being myself and my girlfriend. So yes I would like to hear from the two people that are calling me a liar that wasn't even there.
The girl that got "kicked" for running her mouth about your snakes to my girlfriend was the mother of the two infant children there ... per my girlfriend.
Since the hush your mouth kick was not actually viewed by myself or you (we where in the basement at the time looking at the second female I purchased) I will let my girlfriend (lil_sweetpea) handle any questions pertaining to that. While she is telling you about that ask her about the illegal animal you have.
If you care to continue to accuse me of misdeeds I can post some emails from you that might shed some light about your character.
When you asked me to post feed back on fauna about our deal I did so the best that I felt I could do. I told the truth 100% but if you read it closely you will notice there are areas I did not comment on. Prior to my purchase you where very helpful and answered emails very prompt and elaborated. After the sale and a post on a public forum to get infomation you told me you would provide this is what I get.

Dave I have caught you in a lie, you know it and I know it. So reguardless I will not have any further dealing with you. I still do have to admit that you have some georgous snakes and it will be my loss as far as the quality snakes go but I will be far ahead in quality people.

Again Dave I will refrain from further comment unless I'm personally addressed. The only thing further I have that might be of interest are the emails showing contact with you to some of your friends. How much mud would you like?

Animal are you referring to tht I shouldn't have? ALL i have is boas!? no colubrids,native snakes. What are you reffering to?
 
I have known Dave for a little over a year now. Although I havent purchased anything from him YET ... I do plan on it. As a matter a fact I am currently waiting for some of his boas to give birth now.

I have always heard really good things about Dave, and from the conversation I have personally had with him... I would not hesitate to purchase any of his animals.
