This guy is posting like crazy on VA craigslist. Fredricksburg, Norfolk, etc.. Look for adds with quality photos of the snakes. He always describes them as beautiful and this is a recurrent last line.. "There is a rehoming fee for her. Please contact if interested."

They are all over the VA adds. Every city. Many say he might trade for BP morphs.

Every ad also used to include the statement "loves to be held." Unless he's quit doing that, this line is a dead giveaway as well.

Hey guys, I've never posted here and I signed up after reading a few pages of this thread. This guy is obviously out of control. This situation occurs so rampantly on the internet it is ridiculous. I'm on these boards doing some turtle research but I felt like I should chime in. (I apologize in advance if this is redundant, I only read first and last pages)

1. This guy has committed a felony. Since the transaction occurred across state lines it is a Federal offense, and should be REPORTED TO THE FBI (as long as possession, sale, or distribution of those snakes are legal...be sure to research completely before contacting authorities)

2. As mentioned above, this transaction crossed state lines; Therefore, one half of the scam occurred in your home town and you are able to summon him to CIVIL court for damages in YOUR state since 1/2 occurred in your state. I STRONGLY recommend hiring an attorney and suing for 75,000 in punitive damages which is the highest amount for those courts to my knowledge). Once he is summoned to appear in court, if he fails to "make right" the situation or appear in court, you will AUTOMATICALLY be ruled in favor of.

I was robbed on Ebay on some sports memorabilia and when my attorney sent a person to personally serve him his summons to appear in court for 75,000, he folded and I received my "lost" merchandise along with the 10+ others he also scammed.

You probably will never have to take it to the court system, if you can have an attorney type an official, notarized letter informing him of your intent to sue for 75,000 in punitive unless he rectifies the situation with a full refund of equal value or the item promised, I guarantee he will fold or hide, both are beneficial because at least this scum will be scared even if you don't receive compensation.

As long as you have kept all correspondence, YOUR shipping information (including confirmation of his receipt), you should get this guy.

Cease any communication or threats, while it is completely understandable/instinctual to want to beat this guy up (I'm a former Marine, Semper Fi), any contact between you and him needs to stop.

If you are willing to put in the work and time to get this guy, it's possible...however, it seems like he's constantly scamming people and his time will run out regardless. Either way, I think you should give all of your information to the FBI. I believe their website should have state contact info...even if you never get compensated, at least his name will be somewhere in the FBI's database.

Hopefully I've helped, sorry for the long read... I just felt I needed to chime in because I've had so many similar experiences and it is the most sickening feeling ever. Good luck and stay safe!

Doesn't matter what HE says - he's just making excuses to try to get away with what he is doing and it's a poor excuse at that. Public display is not the same as public domain. He is flat out stealing photos that are already copyrighted. The law says that photos DO NOT have to physically have a copyright symbol or name printed on them to be copyrighted - they are copyrighted from the moment the photos were taken and remain so until the copyright owner declares them to be "public domain".

I'm the idiot who bought the supervanilla. Did I ever get it? nope. Did a search and came here, and now I'm reading all this and can't believe I didn't do a search BEFORE the deal.

Although going through this has changed the way I buy and sell. For one, paypal only. For two, I will send any pictures of my snakes with some kind of DATE stamp so others know I have the snake in my possession. (And I will ask that of others so I know it's not a stolen image.) And of course check the BOI before making any deals from now on.

Instead of summarizing, I'll paste the emails so you can see things as they happened. For the sake of length, I'm removing the kingsnake ad notice and the to-from stuff because of its redundancy. Time/dates are still there for you all to see. Him-red Me-blue

First thing I should have noticed how he said the supervanilla was a female then changed it to a male. I brushed it off as a typo/brain dump sort of deal. Should've seen that red flag.

For those who have gotten your money/snakes back, any advise? What law enforcement did you call first? I have half a mind to take him to small claims court...

Well, this weekend is the Columbus reptile show so I will be going there and seeing what I can buy/trade. I'll breed him to my bee for sure. I'm hoping to pick up a normal or two and a cinnamon or mojave. But after seeing a vanilla fire I think I'm going to try and find an older fire female. They look amazing! There are just so many possible combos...I'll see what I can pick up at the show.

I have been waiting patiently for you to find a time to ship your Super Vanilla to me. I understand that things happen and delays are part of business. However, I have now been waiting for over a month and you still have not shipped. You last contact with me was over two weeks ago, and that contact stipulated that you would ship in a few days once you were finished with your vacation.

I understand that you may have had an issue that caused the delay. If that is the case then my anger towards the situation is lessened, although I still would have preferred to be notified rather than be left in the dark. The delay combined with the lack of communication is totally unacceptable. Your waste of my time and lack of communication shows a lack of care for your customers. I did my part and paid within a reasonable timeframe. You did not ship when you had chances-for there have been days cooler than 90 within these last several weeks. Since you still have not shipped, I expect a full refund.

I expect to receive confirmation from you no later than the end of the business day on 27 Jun 2011.

I went through all of my old e-mails... I couldn't find his phone number... you really should get in touch with the PD of that area... Woodbridge is in Northern VA I believe.. keep us all posted on what happens... I wish this guy would just disappear from the freakin universe already... someone needs to take him out. I wish everyone could google his name/e-mail before even doin business with him... he offered us the Super Vanilla for $850 the first time he e-mailed us about it.. and $675 for a bee $300 for a spider and $200 for a yellowbelly back in April... he is a huge scammer and I hope karma gets him
