    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Has anyone done business with David Levinson? I ordered and paid for 2 display cases on march 4. He said he would have them out the mon after. Time passed and i emailed him on the 16th and he answered on the 18th and said tinley orders got him behind and that he'd have them out the next day. I've emailed him for the UPS tracking number twice since he told me he used UPS. I still haven't heard from him. I've emailed a couple more times asking what was going on..still nothing. I've emailed to 2 different email addresses and facebook and nothing. My husband wants me to file a claim with paypal but i want to give one more chance to get them to me. I have a scout exhibit to do and need them by april 9th so i'm hoping he'll respond in the next day

I've dealt rather extensively with Dave, and have never been disappointed at all...

He does occasionally get behind on orders, especially when big shows come around, but he's always proven to be a stand up guy (at least to me)...
 
Dave is a top notch person. I have had many dealings with him ocer the last 6 years. He is likely to have been swamped with orders and got a little behind. Stick with him, you will not be disappointed. The racks and displays he builds are fantastic.

I can understand being swamped but I dont understand why twice he told me he would ship them out and only explain once why he didnt. And i was extremely fast on making my payment to him. And not answering my emails as to why i havent received them. Its been almost a month since i paid for them. My husband had to do a quick side steel fabrication job so i could pay him
immediately. Paying customers jobs should come before accepting and delivering new orders. I spoke with someone else who said it took her several months after her promised delivery to receive them and when she got them tthey were broken and when he remade the broken pieces they wouldn't work with the others. I am on a time schedule to have these. I just hope nothing has happened to him.
 
In that case, simply cancel the order, dispute payment if needed, and file a bad guy claim here. Unfortunately rack, cage, and display building takes time if you are a one man business. You will pay more, probably much more, but ARS should be able to get you displays fast.
I stand by my claim that Dave is a great guy. Everything I have got from him (Animals and racks) have been exceptional. Due to the quality of his displays I know several bigger names switching to them. Sometimes things are worth the wait. I agree, he should be answering your emails. Did you let him know you have posted this here?

Warren. I really want his cases. In my last 2 emails i told him my husband wanted me to file a claim but i wanted to give him another chance. So someonebtold me to ck on here to see if anyone else had my issues. Have not emailed him since posting this. Should i ?
 
My first fauna classified purchase was with David and he was top notch. He arranged for me to pick up some racks even though he was at Tinley and I was in NY doing educational programs. I know he was swamped with Tinley ordfers (originally we were going to meet en route back) but i am surprised he has not been back in touch. Does not sound like him based on what I know.
 
I finally heard from him! Turns out i had a right to be worried. He's been in the hospital! My cases are going out today!
 
My cases arrived yesterday. I was worried when there was damage to the box but he had them packed well in bubble wrap. I am very happy with the finished product. I know now if i order more to order them well in advance
 
I have to say, my dealing with David has not been acceptable. I paid in full for three sets of displays in late Feb. I finally received my order around the first week of April. Of the 9 total displays, 4 came broken. I alerted David of 3 of them immediately because they were the last box I checked. I decided to look at them again to make sure others were not broken and found one more crack in the bend of a top. I have corresponded with David on several occasions about what WE need to do to get my order completed and I usually have to email him twice before I get a response. He was supposed to call me 2 weeks ago and I never heard from him.

I'm to the point of filing a claim with PayPal even though I really wanted to avoid doing so. I understand Tinley was a busy time for him, but that was nearly two months ago. Bad business in my experience.
