In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

not a good start at all.

Female laid 10 eggs.. my first ball python clutch ever. one died a month in..

incubated too low, so longer inc time..

good news is they are just coming out now..

bad news is most are dead.

of the 8 eggs that I had left.. all of which were moving a few days ago..

only 5 are now moving.

one is fully out of the egg.. one is half out.. one has a nose out, and 2 are fully submerged still.

the other 3 were dead.. including a pastel. which I now only have one left of.

This has been a very frustrating journey. And look at the patterns on the babies.. cute.. and all got moms tail stripe.

here are the living ones

and the not so living ones.. including the one from a few days ago.

Brandi I'm sorry that they did not all survive. The ones that did are very nice looking babies.

Really sorry for your losses Brandi. Not much can be said to make you feel genuinely better about the situation, but keep your chin up and I have no doubt on your next round you'll have lots of babies staring up at you from their shells.

Brandi, what was the incubation temp at? Did you have a probe inside the Eggbox too? * i have one that is connected to my tstat, and another to monitor the temps in the eggbox*

*hugs* im so sorry to see this..... i was hoping that the one would be your only issue......

Brandi,
As with the others, I am sorry you are disappointed...but it was your first time, and many people do not fare as well as you did with their first clutch.
Don't let the ones that didn't make it get you down for long, there are live ones there waiting to frustrate the hell out of you, lol (they'll make you smile, too, don't worry).

Brandi, although it sucks that you had some die, take it from a boa breeder, any litter with live babies is a good litter. Beautiful little BP's, even if they are little brown slugs. ;)

Congrats, Chris

I can't wait.

seems by tomorrow the last few should be out. I will let you know the status.

and Chris.. little brown slugs aren't always so bad I guess huh?

Brandi, that sucks. Sorry to hear about your trouble. That living pastel is a cutie though. Hope the next clutch goes much better for you.

Man, that really bites Brandi. That third picture was a nice looking animal too.

So sorry for the results. :(

Brandi that suxs, and I am sorry to hear this too. They were some real lookers.

What type of incubator are you using and what temps were they at, it looks like they had to have a big jump in temps at the end, they made it that far and then crashed.

Update.

here are the 5 babies that have made it out of the egg.. we will see if they make it.

Here is the one pastel.. if you can call it that.. not much for colour, but I LOVE the pattern!!!
