I'm wondering if he said all that just to take the heat off. Pictures of him and his expensive stuff lead me to believe it would not be that hard for him to accompany his purported apology with at least a $20 down payment via Paypal toward what he owes you.

It's very forgiving of you to accept his apology, but this forum is concerned with business ethics, and this man owes you money. His words have meaning to you, but without financial restitution, they mean little to the rest of the reptile community. He needs to repay you, or come on here and explain himself. As I said in my first post, he's using the same 'script' as many others before him. i.e. it was very predictable that he would claim to be getting out of the business. The logic there is that everyone would forget about his deeds if he were not going to sell to anyone else ever again.

No, I never received my money, I did receive an apology and an agreement that at sometime Andrew would pay it forward. He admits what he did was wrong, but does not have the funds to pay me back.
He is selling all his geckos do to a very bad car accident, baby on the way, and out of work now for the next 3 months. All this is with proof provided.
So, I will try to think with my head and not my heart from now on....and I have since this has happened.

Hi everyone it's me Dead Beat Andrew Wireman I want to go over what happened with the whole thing and I will be telling the truth and nothing but the truth so let's get to it there really was a leopard gecko at the Petland in south point ohio I did handle the leopard gecko and it appeared to me that the gecko was sick and unhealthy i had told the manager and she told me she would look into it well after leaving Petland I felt in my heart that something had to be done and I had to take action so I made a post on Facebook and then that's where I had first talked to Kathy she's such a nice hard working lady god bless her she was helping me and I had to be a little stubborn and check into her account because I had never had anyone help me out like that before and now days you have to watch opening emails and people trying to send you money but anyways Kathy turned out to be legit just a nice Christian lady helping me out well she did send me 150 dollars and note this I had just created my paypal account and had never had any experience with using it so I had not a clue what I was doing well the money had went through into my bank account and I have auto pay where my insurance and car payment is automatically taken out well my auto insurance had goofed up and took out two payments instead of one and made my account negative and I was the only person in my house bringing in income and yes I had bought a brand new car way before moving into this house and yes my designer sunglasses "Oakleys" my fiancé had bought me for my BIRTHYDAY way before we moved in so okay now that I spoke my peace yes I should have paid her back and no I never have to this day I apologized to her over and over and after I told her we are expecting a baby and told her over the phone that I had the 150 dollars to pay her back right now she told me to keep it and she also apologized so I just don't want everyone to think I was the bad guy here and I'm sorry I still breeding and keeping leopard geckos at this time and I want everyone to know I don't hate anyone for there opinions love and Godbless you all hey btw. I have to agree with this. The way you came here to explain sounded even worse than you ignoring it. We all have things that come up in life. There is no reason that you shouldn't have been sending her $10 a week until it was all paid off. You took advantage of someone with a big heart. It was and still is wrong.

I thought you should know that absolutely nobody (except perhaps the OP) is buying your pathetic story. At all. It's the most ridiculous collection of cliched excuses I've heard yet from a scammer. Kathy chalk it up as a learning experience, an unnecessarily expensive learning experience... you're a sweet woman, you're heart was in the right place, but this kid has issues only he and God can work out... you're most likely not getting that money back, he most likely smoked it, and hopefully that darkness brings him to the light that much quicker... so in the end it may have served a greater purpose than you think... theres a little good even in the worst of situations...
