Bad Guy DEAD SNAKES from Kevin South of The Constrictors Labrynth

No one is putting ALL the blame on Nick...Nick messed up, therefore he is suffering the consequences. He still has yet to answer why he said he'd sell the ill snake in the e-mail to Kevin.

Kevin is being questioned as well, several times. Kevin isn't here right now, so we can't really say much more than we have already said, while Nick is still posting and we have still been asking him the SAME question...

Also, don't know if someone covered this, but you said in your post:

everyone that has nothing to do with this problem should leave this guy alone the problem has nothing to do with the peanut gallery. the guy has/haad a problem with a supplier and asked for advice not criticism.

Once IBD is mentioned (which I only know of this horrible disease because of this site, and do not own any boas/pythons at the present time, but do fully intend to add them to my collection one day), it is EVERYONE'S problem. This disease can wipe out ENTIRE collections. It's freakin' scary. THAT'S why the 'peanut gallery' is questioning them. Oh...AND THIS IS A PUBLIC FORUM. Everyone has a right to post here, including you.

In the end...Kevin, Nick, and Wendy...once again...have to close up shop...even if you aren't a business (Wendy). No snakes in, no snakes out. Kevin and Nick BOTH have to answer some questions. Also, Wendy, do NOT even THINK about rehoming those snakes until your collection is cleared of any chance of IBD (which to my understanding, costs several hundred dollars to perform a test, which can give a false negative and can take several YEARS to be ABSOLUTELY sure there is no IBD. If you never intend to rehome them, and don't want to test, that's fine...but again, no snakes in, no snakes out, until these snakes have died/been cleared/been destroyed and all caging/supplies destroyed to prevent infecting other snakes.

Gah...this IBD stuff...is scary...

If one animal from someone's collection, no matter the length of time it was in their posession, turns up with a positive indication of IBD, then it must be assumed that any animal within that collection could have been compromised.

Ok so he wanted to voice a problem he had with a supplier. BFD, he has a right to do so. You or anyone else in here are not a jury and he is not on trial. Yes hes had bad dealings in the past but this one is not his fault (completely) should he have waited to make the sell? Yes. Should he know proper care and dealings with snakes, or any animal for that matter? Yes. But who are you or anyone else to criticise him in any way? This isn't Nick's first rodeo. He has been in several of these threads and he knows how they work. By insinuating that he didn't come in here for opinions makes one of you two pretty clueless on how these things work around here. It seems like you would rather be a martyr than to take the advice of the majority here when we state this isn't all about Nick. YES, he made a mistake... but how many mistakes must a person make before you realize THEY ARE NOT GOING TO CHANGE?

Also, isn't kind of demeaning to refer to members as the "peanut gallery?" Please don't choke on your own advice.

As for Kevin, I believe there is a reason he hasn't logged back in and that's because he's probably reading all this on the sly.

He didn't mix his words up. He flat out LIED! As to being scrutinized... I've been there... and if you're honest then you have nothing to worry about.

And yes we are affected. He is trying to bring down the hobby that we love. So those of us that are passionate about this hobby will speak up against crap like he does. He is the type of person that will do stuff the lawmakers will use against us.

The reason he is being scrutinized more than the person that sold him the snakes is because of his treating the fauna members like they are stupid and incompetent. We are not... we can see thru his lies and it doesn't matter how hard he beats his chest and proclaims he is honest... we all know different.

Kevin (the seller) should be shutting down his operation and he SHOULD be reimbursing Nick for the money he spent on the snakes and the vet bills. That would be the right thing to do since the snake did come from him.

The same goes for you.... if you think its ok because you didn't get a sick snake then you are part of the problem as well. You are why the bad guys get to stay in business....because it didn't happen to you... so you'll keep buying from them until it does.

Randy... you may want to figure out how the BOI works before you open your mouth. You're just gonna end up if you dont. He has consistantly lied in every BOI thread he has posted on (that he was a part of), he has been demeaning to our female members (which was also a potential supplier of his). Because of his lack of honesty... then yes... he is on trial.

The purpose of the BOI is to attempt to get to the truth and expose the bad guys in the industry. It doesn't matter if your the OP or the one the OP is slinging mud at... if you're being dishonest... eventually the BOI will bust you and show you for your true colors. I cant even count how many times the OP has turned out to be the bad guy. Just so happens this time we have a bad guy and a worse guy.

Randy, this is a PUBLIC forum. I find it odd that you protest people proclaiming themselves to be judge and jury...isn't that what you are doing, also? Who are you to dictate what is or is not pertinent? Why are you trying to exert control over others?

The only victim here is Wendy. Nick and Kevin have both done things which should be considered criminal. I understand, and do not disagree, that you feel the spotlight should steer more towards Kevin now. But, I don't believe that Nick should be allowed to leave the stage. Further, you are certainly not the director of this play.

You're exactly right... the ONLY victim here is Wendy. She is a victim because her seller did not have the ethics to do the right thing. He was simply looking at the dollar signs.

Kevin should also be in the spotlight because he knowingly sold an animal that had mucus discharge. In my views... they are both guilty in selling Wendy a sick animal.

What I dont understand is why Wendy is willing to be friends with Nick knowing he would sell a sick animal... even if her's wasn't the one in question when it comes to the email Nick sent to Kevin.

Kevin was the intended victim of Nick's blackmail. That is all he is a victim of. Other than that, I haven't seen anyone saying Kevin is the victim in this.

Where do you get that Nick was telling the truth about anything?

Nick got lucky. On around 5/10 he claimed to have a report stating the snake had IBD. He was trying to use that to blackmail Kevin for more snakes. It wasn't till around 5/24 that there was actually a report supporting that.

Nick would tell a lie when the truth would suit him better.

In no way, shape, or form did i ever say it was ok that because it didnt happen to me. I dont and wont buy from people that have a questionable reputation. If anyone has payed attention all i have said is that the people he has had wrong dealings with are the people that should be mad. I understand that it CAN affect whole collections and people who have bought from him. So dont compare me to low-lifes that pray on people in this manner because that aint me.

Kevin really needs to address this. I sincerely hope both Kevin AND Nick are taking the proper steps with their collections. This is how IBD spreads. Ignorant flippers looking for a quick buck and dumping sick animals to turn a profit.

I respectfully suggest we cut the interpersonal squabbling so that those who come after us in years ahead and read this thread can focus on what is important here. The BOI is a tool, but if there is too much background static, people won't use it, and won't benefit from it.
