In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Deans Reptiles

yeah i had every test they could do, ran. everything came back ok but then some numbers had been a little to high but once the specialist looked her over and after all that now she is healthy and ginger is a very sweet snake and about james repaying me is a line of bull i know he just wanted to try to keep me calm from reading what happen to your snake SakaraGT4 and am sorry about the snake...but as soon as i heard the snake passed i took ginger to have test done oh and james if you really Feel like you need to do the right thing? like you said you want to....Pay off my vet bills.....then refund me for ginger like you promised back in Sep....i think......Better yet when you "feel" like doing the right thing and wanna pm me with some BS that your going to repay me....Dont. , so now back to a whole group of healthy snakes ( :

I don't think IBD can be transferred to coloubrids. pneumonia, yea. but I'm pretty sure IBD is just in boas and pythons.

i know, but it was just the fact that is was such a Devastating disease and that he flips reptiles Who knows what mine Could like gotten from another unlucky animal in his care.

remember that pneumonia in itself is not an actual disease, its the illness or result from a disease. all pnuemonia is, is fluid in/on the lungs. it is usually caused by, in snakes, upper respiratory infections, that have gone untreated and the infection has migrated and settled in the lungs. there are no documented cases of ibd being in any snake other than certain boidae species

I'll go along with pneumonia not being "a disease".....but it is an illness, and it is caused by pathogen (it isn't just fluid).
Also, IBD has been documented in non boids (one paper I saw cited mentioned viperids, and I think there was something else).

you guys do realized i knew about the guild lines of IBD and how i wasn't checking for that since it is a corn snake but other parasites and disease that could have been picked up by the other reptiles in James care?

Not quite proven in other species like it is in Boids, it's suspected though. They have found "similar" inclusions in Bothriechis marchi, which is reason enough to treat all snakes as potential carriers. Might be more then one strain.

From the 2nd edition of Reptile Medicine and Surgery, Juergen Schumacher writes...

"Exclusively members of the Boidae family have been diagnosed with this infection, but evidence exists that other reptile species either may act as carriers of the virus or may show different clinical and pathological signs than Boas and Pythons and therefor may go undiagnosed. A study of of captive bred and Wild caught Palm Vipers, (Bothriechis marchi) with clinical signs similar to Boid snakes with IBD, showed eosinophilic inclusions with ultrastructural features similar to IBD."

I hear you guys on the different strains... I would imagine that is very possible... I know even humans can have inclusion bodies... They are found in people that have Alzheimer Disease and other things... So who knows....

and Heather, I know you were checking for other things that he may have picked up... I don't blame you -_-

BTW... I was on vacation for 10 days and had a very trusted friend watching my animals, they are still all alive, eating, pooping, shedding as normal... So I'm still praying... lol... And I STILL have NOT heard back from James about my refund he said he was going to send me...........

A little birdie informed me james is selling snakes on Craigslist. Maybe some folks will receive their reimbursements after he sells them (don't hold your breath :().

Odd though how he was down to only one snake then all of a sudden he has more to sell but no money to reimburse those who he owes. He is a real piece of .... work. :NoNo:

Alright guys... Well when DAND posted the craigslist post, I took my husbands phone and texted him asking about them.... I'll let the pics do the talking... What happened to not having any more animals to sell James? What happened to not taking in anymore animals? Not trading for anymore animals?

Also, we have requested our refund again and if not, we have already traced his phone number and will be acquiring his address so that his summons to court can be served if he does not give us our refund ;) And my hubby was not as nice as I was in my emails to James.... I will post those later...

The text convo... And I'll leave his number on there in case anyone else needs it, since he likes to call with a blocked number...

and at least I do quarantine -_-

Not to be a nitpicker, but in the path report you posted it states that they were kept in the same room, but separate. In the future it's much better to keep them in separate rooms if you can when you quarantine. I hope the rest of your snakes are okay.

I actually did... I had this guy in a different room... I told him my other snakes were in the snake room in separate enclosures... They just took notes and gave me the report a week later...
