While it’s nearly impossible to trace lineage, these 2 beautiful Dumeril's have different characteristics regarding markings, iridescence, and facial structure. They were originally purchased from different sources and are likely unrelated.
The female has pinkish/peachish color throughout, even in areas on the sides where white coloration typically appears on most Dumeril's. She may be from the “Ruby” line. The male has peach coloring on his dorsal areas, and sports white areas on his sides. Both change colors erratically from light to dark phases (similar to Hog Island Boas, except the transition doesn’t seem due to time of day).
The female has a grey forehead, while the male’s peach carries over onto the top of his head. Her face is imperceptibly broader with smaller recessed eyes, comparatively his face is slightly elongated with wider eyes.
Each has nice skin and shed flawlessly, though the female highlights more iridescence.
Both are around 4 ft. and are fed a large f/t mouse every 7 days. Neither have ever refused a meal and have excellent feeding responses.
They are both docile and curious. While in their enclosure, both watch what’s going on outside and neither will use a hide unless they’re in shed. I take them out on days I'm home, and like bookends both sleep on my couch's endtables for the entire day, like in pic #4.
Pics 1 & 2: Female - $225 + shipping
Pics 3 & 4: Male - $175 + shipping
Pair: $350 + shipping
