Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them.     Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Wow, can't believe after a few put in a good word for him he would repay them by letting his customer dangle in the wind for so long.

He posted in this bad guy thread about him and I updated it a while back in the hope he would respond.

You've been more then patient with this person.
It seems very obvious, that he has no intention of making this deal right, or of even speaking with you for that matter. It's time to take this to the next level.

File a police report in his hometime. Maybe that will get his attention.
After that, initiate a small claims court case in your city. You'll get a judgement by default. You may never see your money, but at least he'll never forget you, as that will follow him for the rest of his days.

I agree, its time to take this to the next level. Since the transaction was also started via internet I would not only call his local authorities but search out internet fraud, if payment was mailed maybe postal authorities. Not sure who all can help but its time to start calling anyone and everyone.

This was a work number posted for him three years ago. I don't know if he still works there or if the number even works.

I guess he changes work numbers pretty often also, I don't know if these are worth anything but, he works at Tropical Kingdom pet store (520)326-1218, his cell # is (520)808-8596. Even if he no longer works at the pet store maybe someone there will know of him and can help you all out.
 
I called Tropical Kingdom for like the 5th time and the person who answered the phone knew Derek. I gave her the message and within 10 min I got a Call from Derek. New phone number. Anyway, I wanted my money back.... Derek said he could only pay installments of 50-100 a month. Cant believe he had the nerve to say that. What would be the right way to go about things?

If that's all that he's willing to do you haven't got a lot of choices. Basically he has your money so he's got you by the short ones.
