    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I took in a couple of leo geckos last year and they seemed to be doing fine. The lady that i got them from said that she had purchased them from the pet store. Last month, one of them started to get really skinny so I took it to the vet and it was diagnosed with hookworms. She gave it some deworming medicine and told me to take it back in 2 weeks for another deworming. I didn't take it back in the 2 week period since it was 20 below then and i didn't want to chance it being too cold for her. Also, i just got my bill for school and I really can't afford to keep taking it to the vet when each time I take it, it's over $100. I also have 2 other geckos, (the one I got when I got the one that was sick, and the other one i've had for over 2 years) and both of these also possibly have the worms, too, but neither have shown any symptoms of having them yet. They are both still eating like little pigs, anything and everything that they can. I've been giving the gecko slurry to the one that is sick, but she keeps losing weight and still refuses to eat anything. Should I add more mealworms and/or waxworms to the slurry before feeding so she can gain some weight back? Also, does anyone know where I can or if it's possible to purchase dewormer so i can self-medicate them instead of keep taking them to the vet? I don't remember what dewormer she used on them..it started with a "F" I tried to find the bill from the vet that said what she used, but i can't find it anywhere. Any info. would be very appreciated!

yes, you can purchase many worming meds online or at feed stores.
There are a number of different options, the choice being dependent on the particular targets (in this case, hookworms). Panacur, aka fenbendazole, is pretty commonly available, and is effective against hooks
