    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I have never personally done business with Corky and though they are deffinately still learning all the ropes in the business I think they are far from being a bad breeder. And as far as you not having known their guarantee you will just have to call it a very expensive lesson. From now on I would wager you will look at people's guarantee prior to purchasing. Sorry that things aint going your way but I don't really feel that it is Diamond-Den's fault that this situation is what it is. Had you checked in on your animal instead of trusting your friends to do it for you, had you properly quarantined the animal, and had you read their terms of sale than you would not be in this situation. You are a grown man and by your own statement a long term breeder. Anyone that has been in this business for more than 2 seconds would know to check for the TOS of someone that they have never purchased from.
 
Bummer for Kevin for not taking into consideration the TOS that Diamond-Den posts for customers. I am sure he was sick to his stomach having returned from seeing them and realizing the situation he was in. He certainly has has taken some lumps in posting this thread and I would expect he could prove the dragon is in fact sick.

When I read this I just couldn't help but wonder how an adult dragon could go down hill so fast. Before anyone chimes in with their anecdotes, I have my own experiences I am relying on (including adults with RI) A RI usually takes several days to get, and then see the symptoms in a grown dragon. Furthermore a dragon that has had an RI can easily have a relapse.

Anyway it's a bummer something couldn't be worked out, and while I agree with the 48 hr health guarantee for small dragons, a 500.00 breeder coming from me would get more consideration, imho.

Again, I always return to the belief that when you have produced the dragons you sell there is more incentive for the seller to make the customer feel right about the transaction. (I know D-D produces some of their own too).
Resale makes the margins too skinny to have any meaningful flexibility when addressing situations like this one.

thats funny dr leeza i did not ask for money back just want what i paid for orange trans male. not a sick orange trans male. and for mrs corky please put me on do not do bus with list i have done that with you already. and working on a full page on my website. for buyers not breeders on my website diamond den will be the and you are the star of the page thanks. when u buy from a breeder. there shouild be no problem housing them together. i just forgot that there is only a few real breeders on the web. and if u read the email you would of seen. i said i would not spend anymore money on a dragon this sick. but did not say i would not treat i have meds and i am treating him. there is probally lung problems in a case this bad. so i can find him a home as a pet. but when i find him a home as a pet. i will tell him what he has been through before he leaves me because i am honest and i care thanks kevin
 
thanks jeff yes i did mess up:( should have listened to the people that told me not to deal with them . and buy the way the orange hypo leather i got from you is 10 plus inches and looking great. should have just got another one from u :)and will in the future. just a matter of time and the rest of the people that are unhappy with theses people will come out of the closet. thanks kevin

I have met and/or talked to almost no breeders that would introduce a dragon that they just purchased to any of their other animals without at least a minimum 2 week quarantine period. You are chancing contaminating your entire collection if you do not quarantine a new purchase. You never know what someones care is like or what the standards of their sanitation within their collection is. Granted that is not the point of this thread, I just wanted to point that out. Weather from Corky or from whomever is the person you consider the most trustworthy breeder ever, any animal can come in sick, even from the most pristine conditions.

Good luck man. If i were corky id have issued a partial refund. And I still think he should but he does not and its his decision. Good luck with your dragon, I hope he gets healthy for you.
 
I will not issue a partial refund as i have NO proof the animal is actually sick, all i want is proof, i have not recieved anything a picture of him looking sick, a picture of mucus on his mouth/nose, vet proof of him being sick, nothing at all, all i have to go off was what i was told, that he was in with females and showing breeding behavior, and was doing fine, i was not told anything what so ever was wrong, and will not believe anything is wrong with this dragon with out proof, The fact of the matter is i have a standerd guarantee, that is near the same to most breeders some have 24 some have 48 hours, a select few breeders have more, if you want a 10 day guarantee then go to those breeders with a big guarantee and at that, alot of breeders with a slightly higher guarantee still ask that you notify them with in the first 48 hours if anything is off, we where not contacted about something being off or wrong not in the 48 hour guarantee not even in 96 hours(double our guarantee)


I personally dont think that asking for some kind of proof is crazy, i think thats pretty standerd if you refunded money without proof you would have plenty of people knocking on your door pretending something is wrong when it really isnt.

Well there ya go kevin. you post a good picture of mucus from the nostrils or excessive mucus in his mouth or (for the sake of thoroughness) a video of his wheezing, and Corky will make this at least partially right. (least thats what i got from this post)

Corky, Now you know I like talking with ya we have always been good on the various forums but this statement erks me. Most breeders actually offer 7 days or more of a health guarantee on their animals. In fact if you go through the sponsor links on the bearded dragon classifieds area you will note that all but 3 have 7+ day health guarantees.

Kevin, why is it so hard to post a picture of this supposedly sick and dying lizard? They've made their request, and your outright refusal to give them something to show for their own services doesn't look great on your part.

Granted, not much does, to me. I'm a complete outsider, but this seems to be nearly a one-sided argument, as I clearly see where the issue is coming from, and it's not the breeder....
 
Well i am guessing that i will not get proof of this "sick dragon" it seems like this post is kind of a waste of time, the only proof that has been here is that you said he was fine Saturday and now you say he isn't.

No one ripped you off man and no one owes you anything you need to chill... It sounds to me like you don't know the proper way to quarantine animals. You quarantine an animal for a week or two, that means you keep him away from all your animals (in a separate room if you can) to see if the animal gets sick or anything. If it does then there's a good chance it came from the seller. If you throw him in your animals and a week later you notice he's sick, there's a good chance he got something from your animals as well as maybe having something from the seller, you never know! You learned about quarantining the hard way.

I think you're just going to make people aware of this thread be wary of selling anything to you. I wouldn't.

OR REPLACEMENT WHEN I FIRST CONTACTED THEM.IF YOU READ ONE OF THE EMAILS THE FIRST THING THEY THAT WAS SAID WE JUST POSTED DRAGONS AND NOW HE IS SICK ASSUMING I WANTED A DIFFERENT DRAGON WHICK IS CALLING ME A LIAR . THAT SET THE TONE. FOR THIS SO THIS POST IS NOT A WASTE OF TIME ITS AN EYE OPENER . AND FOR ME BUYING REPTILES THERE ARE MANY TOP QUALITY BREEDERS OUT THERE THAT HAVE HEATHLTY REPTILES AND WOULD NOT WAIT TO PUT THEM TOGETHER THEY MAY NOT TELL YOU THAT BUT YOU KNOW ITS TRUE .
