    **************************************************
In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Did you know you can get Emu eggs in the mail?!? LOL!

It wouldn’t hurt so much now if I didn’t let myself think of him as a “pet.”

We could all protect ourselves by refusing to care for anything beyond it's value as livestock, but then that would be an empty and hollow place to live.

:(

That sucks so much.

Thank you all for your kind words. Really~ they helped a lot. I had let myself become very invested in him and now I miss him a lot. My family wants me to get another egg and try again~ and I'll admit I peeked at ebay to see (end of season~ no more $15 eggs now~ they are selling pretty high) but I just don't think it's the time for that. I miss him a lot~ but if we got another it wouldn't be him. We would know better what to expect~ it wouldn't be such an expierience as it was with him.

Maybe next year~ if the family still wants to then. Meanwhile~ I am seriously considering getting a puppy. So-chee needs a friend~ and I really love dogs. I guess thats part of what made this so hard~ he thought he was a dog.....and I kind of think I did too.

Thanks so much everyone

Such a beautiful experience, I miss this thread being the top of the list on this, I might be selfish, but I'm bumping it.
