    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Dirty Jobs is on the Discovery Channel right now and is doing a feature about "Snake Researching". You might have missed it in the Eastern time zone, but it will be on in one hour (Mountain) and 2 hours (Pacific). Just thought you'd like to know!!

Missed it today... but, it's being repeated Sat. (tomorrow) morning at 8:00 am and we've got the TIVO set!! I can't imagine what is so dirty about researching snakes!!

I've worked with animals over 30 years and snakes are the cleanest ones I've ever worked with!!!
 
Mike manages to make this a "dirty job" It is funny - catch it if you can!
 
Funny?! That's an understatement! We just watched the show on TIVO and couldn't stop laughing at Mike Rowe as he was getting repeatedly bitten by the water snakes. The field researcher was laughing pretty hard in the backround too! It was pretty interesting to get a small sight into the lab studies that are being done for threatened species with a good dose of laughter thrown in!!
 
that was definately a good segment on dirty jobs . i laughed my butt off . i must say that i think mike got bit more in a few hours than i have gotten bit in almost 30 years of handling snakes .
