    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hi I'm looking for a small(under 5ft)display snake that also is not normally a very aggressive snake.I don't mind cage aggressive or aggressiveness as a baby but as an adult I would prefer that it doesn't bite to often out of its cage as an adult.I will be getting the snake in a year or so I have ample time to research and get its cage ready.I would also prefer a colubrid as I just think they are really cool but all suggestions are welcome.
 
By "working with," I'm assuming you mean "breeding." Unforunately, no one really breeds rough green snakes that I'm aware of. They do make good display snakes, but WC specimens rarely acclimate well to captivity. My main suggestion is to set them up as you may for a small chameleon or an anole. They do fare well with the "typical" snake habitat of a water bowl, a hide and aspen shavings. There are a handful of threads discussing green snakes in greater detail in this section of the forums. Might be good for you to read.

However, there are a quite a number of other species that make great display animals, many right here in the U.S. Garter snakes, western hognose snakes, water snakes, are all chiefly diurnal snakes that move around a lot during the day. I do feel the trick is setting up the terrarium to give them more to interact with. This can even induce some nocturnal species to be more active, like corn snakes and ratsnakes.
