    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

DIY Fecals?

I didn't buy that kit, but I purchased everything separately. The scopes on the site you listed seem quite reasonable and they also offer you alot of what you will need.
I would also suggest picking up the book:
Understanding Reptile Parasites by Roger Klingenberg. He also has a real good laminated chart of the most common parasites which is called "Reptile Parasite Identification Chart and Formulary".
You can also go to vetmeddirect.com and pick up additional supplies (slides, etc.).

I actually like doing fecals as odd as it sounds. It is pretty interesting. You will however probably get confused on some of the matter you discover, most times it is food you are viewing that doesn't look like the pics on the chart (that's a good thing).

Humpback, Check on E-bay you can find better (more) choices on microscopes. I would recommend getting one with a adjustable slide holder so you can "scan" through/over the slide more precisely. I got one that is up to 800 power for about $200.00 (new)
 
I also used VetMed Direct. I've got everything I need, just gotta put my skills to the test. It seems fairly easy. I would also suggest buying that "Understanding Reptile Parasites" Book, can't remember the author, something with a K., I'll get it later today, but that book was a good one.
