    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

The Lonely Hearts forum is a great place for people to meet.

But the name is a little dorky, maybe it needs to be re-named, what do you think?
I asked around and got some suggestions, so here's a poll so you can be the judge......(BTW, I'm making the poll so you can vote for more than one name, if several tickle your fancy)
 
Those people voting 'other' the deal is, you're supposed to post what other name you think might be good.

Please vote, a lot of people took time and effort to come up with all the name ideas.
 
maybe there is only a few of us that are unlucky enough to be lonely (or looking for a reptile partner) :( and thus down here in this section :shrug01:

I'll be honest with ya Lucille..... your the only reason I posted down here. You brought up some good points while we were chatting and I thought... I have nothing to loose. Its very hard to embarasse me so I thought... I'd go ahead and put myself out there.

Ive had alot of views to my thread... but surprisingly not much contact from it. I dunno... maybe Im too ugly, too fat.... or its all guys viewing my thread :eek:

What can I do to help ya spruce up the place. Im posting purdy pictures.

Just think ladies... I could have handed this flower to you instead of showing you a photo.

Something else Im thinking... the ladies dont want to put themselves out there (which is fine) but how are us guys supposed to know if your single or not. There are alot of very lovely ladies here... and I know of at least two of them are married (boy is their hubby's lucky)

Kind of a catch 22 I guess.

I think as long as you ask respectfully, women might be flattered by the question- if they are single, they realize you are interested, and if they are married, they still might feel good that you looked their way.

It might be hard for some ladies to put themselves out there, especially if they've had a bad track record with the opposite sex. I agree it can't hurt to put it out there that you're single, but you can also let people know what it is your looking for, whether just friendship first, or friendship and then possible dating. All i can say is that when the time is right for me, i would honestly like a guy that is involved with reptiles, because it really would be nice to have someone that understands my passion:)

Oh and Kevin, you are definitely not fat or ugly, you are a very good looking guy:)

We've all had those bad track records.... I spent a lil over 2 years couped up in my house after my ex-fiance deceided she wanted to screw around with a married man. I had absolutely no desire to date, very little desire to eat (lost 20+lbs).... but I regret that move now (except the weight loss part...need to do that again)

With where I live... I am finding it very hard to find ladies that are into reptiles.... which makes no sense at all to me. Im in the country.... and you'd think country girls would be ok with or like reptiles. :shrug01:

That is why I let Lucille talk me into this... cause ya know what.... the ladies on here already like reptiles.... half my work is done. The hard part... will be making a friendship that may turn into dating... that will definitly be able to stand the distance gap... at least in the beginning.

It is going to take a reptile girl to understand my passion and addiction. Its gonna take a reptile girl to understand that the animals have to be taken care of... and if your into reptiles... then we can spend quality time together taking care of that choir and gettin it knocked out quicker.... instead of a non-reptile girl resenting the fact that I spend so much time with the reptiles... and not enough with her because she wont enter the herp room.

The age limitation limits your choices. Plus this site caters primarily to one race..broaden your horizons....get out there on a real single's site if you are really looking?

Most of the females on here are young 20s and the older ones seem taken?

Then there's the distance factor...sigh..nothing is ever easy. Good luck!

Your right.... its never easy.... but for the right person....It is doable because we would both be willing to compromise and make it work.

At first I was real hesitant because of the distance thing. When would you see each other.... but if it was meant to be.... then you would find a way :shrug01:

You may be right about the demographics here and the age.... I am willing (for the right person) to think about a lil lower than posted... but would she really want an old man. Thats what I would be to her. :shrug01:

It wasn't really you. If you had asked me in a PM, I would have been happy to respond in depth.

However in aftersight, I realize that my post didn't come off the way I meant, and anything I said now, would look like "back tracking" and could be taken the wrong way.
 
NP - I didn't ask in a PM mostly because I figure if a statement is made in public, a response should also be public. I'll shut up now so to stay OT. :)
 
I personally like the name, but only because Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band is one of my favorite albums ;)
