    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

You heart is in the right place, and I can tell you feel strongly about the issue, as you should, all those babies dying is horrendous. Yet you can admit when you have said something that you should not have. The world needs more people like you.

Or just be glad that his entire collection isn't in danger now. I wouldn't _want_ a replacement; I would always be afraid some contagious disease was going to pop up. Just because the ONE snake that was tested for crypto was negative doesn't mean the tens of others didn't die of disease, being weakened by starvation.
 
I have to agree with Vin, I think Doc is selecting a snall number of babies to feed, so some people are getting healthy, well-fed babies, while many other babies do not seem to be fed AT ALL.
A couple missed meals is not going to cause them to be emaciated, unless there's something else going on.

This makes sense. Also (this is speculation as will anything we say be until Darryl decides to say something more), if he supplies his own feeders as he said, it is possible his colony couldn't keep up with the babies. Why his decision at that point would be to let the snakes starve to death vs just ordering frozen mice completely baffles me, but it might have contributed to the horrible, emaciated state a lot of these babies were in when they died.

My opinion follows along the lines of Heather. I believe, via what has transpired, this was intentional for the intent of making a profit on his animals.
The vet records (seem to me, that they've never been fed), the consistency of this happening to the new people, blowing off the people he sent these babies to, the lack of remorse and digging for excuses to maintain his 'perfect' record, AND more glaringly that he clearly KNOWS which babies are healthy and are not healthy (based on that fact that he selectively sent baby a healthy animal that he knew was going to survive).
 
Yes, he would have known how closely I, and everyone else, would be monitoring how my baby did-he would have known how concerned I was from my first post in this thread.

If this had went like the start of the Josh thread he would have been here posting. But as no one is defending him this time not here. As per his website a person with "30" years of knowledge and a Phd should be able to tell that baby snakes need fed and that they are in poor health when they leave him. If it were me I would come out and make a real apology and prove that things have been done to right the wrongs both in house and with customers. But as it stands I really can't believe much that he has said about fixing anything. When arogance and greed rule things will never improve.
 
That's so much easier than admitting there is a problem and dealing with it!
 
We will start seeing the "sale" ads soon and more in the spring. Going to be the same pattern as before, I'll put cash money on it.

Things won't change.
 
Well, I have to post an update...not a good one either.

My baby has regurged his friday feeding today.
 
I have the feeling that he'll be suffering the same fate as all the others. I hope for this baby's sake that it doesn't happen to him. We're going to put him on the every 7 day feeding schedule-hoping that maybe with food in his tummy less often maybe he'll stop the regurges.
