Hey guys, as you know I am trying to put together alittle leopard gecko care dvd. I am looking for someone who is willing to record one of their baby leopard geckos hatching. i will be willing to help you and make suggestions on how to light it and how to shoot it. Minidv format is perferred but VHS, Hi8 and Digi8 works well too. Is anyone interested? you will recieve credit

That's a great video... I could probably use it... do you have the origenal version still on tape?

I can provide a video of it, but it's going to be a while (nothing in the incubator now). If you don't mind waiting a month or two I can give some really nice footage in MiniDV (Sony TRV38). Again, probably won't make the initial date you were going for but it should be some interesting footage anyway.

Oh don't worry about time, I am actually STARTING the project after the 18th... not trying to have it done. So it's jsuta side project that i am working on for my own pleasure, no real dead line.

Are you interested in maybe talking on camera about your geckos?

sorry for the delay. didn't even see that you psoted back to me.

well if you want we can do a frame by frame delay. the full 4-5 hours would be cool but the problem with that is alot of nothing happens in that 4-5 hours.... what if we did a frame by frame delay for the first 2-3 hours and then the last bit where things pick up (head pokes out, egg opening, leo emerging) we do it as full footage. i of course will reimburse you for the tapes.

great to hear that it has widescreen.

are you interested in filming hatchlings hatchingfor me?

your camera looks great. I can always edit in post to make sure it all matches up to look like it's the same camera through the whole DVD.

You know how to use your white balance on your camera right? Sorry not trying to be insulting, just wasn't sure

I was wondering

I am planning on opening a pet store around June or July. Would I be able to order these in small quantities? Like packs of 10 or something? I was thinking that it would be a wonderful item to put in a Leo starter kit. I am planning on having customers that buy a starter kit take the set-up home and get everything adjusted with the temps and all, then return for the Leo after a week. If I was able to include a video that would take them through the set-up and care I think that would be awesome. I was also going to include the Leopard gecko manual with the kit.

wow, i really appreciate you considering my dvd to be included in your start up kit (once the dvd is complete and one you have opened your petstore). Since this is a small project I can control how many dvds are burned and of course the order size, large or small. I was thinking once I made the dvd i could put alittle website up where people or breeders could buy it online. I think it's a great idea that you are willing to allow the new owner to set-up their tank and then come back to get their leo... that way they don't have to rush home and set it up, they can take their time. What a great idea :) Would you allow leo buyers to reserve their leos? and including the leopard gecko manual, perfect. I really like your idea. Wow where's your petstore going to be located, I want to visit, LOL :)

Yep

They would get to pick out their baby when they purchased the package. Or they could wait if they chose to. They could also come see it as often as they liked while waiting. In fact if they were buying the starter kit they would be REQUIRED to wait a week. I will also be available to help them with questions or problems they may have. This will be offered for any animal I sell, not just the reptiles. I plan on doing extensive research on every animal I carry before I order it in. I believe it is my responsibility to provide KNOWLEDGABLE advice and follow up for the animals sake. Not many pet shops seem to care about much more than turning a fast buck, I refuse to be one of those. I am up in Montana and you may feel free to stop by any time :rotflmao:
