    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Donald Keseric sentenced in snake theft

Any one who knows Mortin. Knows he is a great guy. One of the snakes stolen a spider male. Mortin had gotten from me. I hope knowing who done this, and that he was charged. Can make Mortin feel a little better. I do not think it was enough of a penalty though myself. Mortin best of luck my friend. I will see you in Daytona!
 
Thanks Jusin,I do know Got Mice was one of his outlets and someone was in B,ham looking for any info on both of them because they ripped him off on a bearded dragon deal.I think he even came on the boi looking for jason of got mice.Terry

Hey Justin,

Eric as clean as anyone can be and is very well respected in the community for his honesty and great animals. He does have a lot of ball pythons, he always has though, and has actually gotten a lot of them from me in the last few years...and I don't deal with Don.

As far as who Don has done business with...you can count them on 50 hands. He has sold animals to almost every big breeder and has done trades with most of them too. As much of a scumbag as Don is...he can talk the talk which has gained him the trust of many people who were temporarily blinded...

Never claimed he wasn't... But he was buying a lot from Don back then so if I were investigating where my animals went he would be on the list of those to talk to..

I doubt Don would call up Eric or anyone and say " I have a ton of stolen BP morphs ..you want some"

in the end most of the people who probably wound up with the stolen animals are probably good decent poeple who didn't know they were hot.

But on the flip side..if someone stole some animals from me and resold them I would definetly want them back..
 
Yup me too but the list of those to talk to who have bought from Don or traded with Don at the time and following that time may be around the 100 range. As far as animals that Eric currently has from Don...that totals 5...all pinstripes that Don was offering to everyone last year.
 
You think Don did business with 100 people from the time that the snakes were stolen till he got caught ? Most of the stolen snakes were gravid,the buyers had to know something was up and the word got out fast that Morton had been robbed.I think the snakes are here in the U.S.A. and I hope someone comes foward with some info.I also dont buy into he is a good guy he just buys snakes from thieves like Don Keseric.
 
And...how may people have you seen come on here who have bought from known bad guys...hundreds and hundreds?
 
Hey guys, just a question: Is the $200K a punitive damage that is being awarded by the court, or is it the value of the stolen snakes in question? If it is the latter, are the snakes that were stolen, and/or their babies still "stolen property?"
 
The $225,000 was restitution,the snakes are still stolen.There was no value put on lost revenue or the offspring.

Some people listen to what said on The BOI and some people don't listen...that's the way it goes. It's like the 'you can lead a horse to water' thing...you can warn someone but they don't have to listen to you.
 
Ok, if you look up the definition of Restitution, it say "compensation for a loss." Which loss? I am guessing the court would not award monies for "possible" earnings for babies in cases where the eggs were not even laid yet? I am confused as to the fact that if it is restitution money, Morten could not (or could he) get $225k AND some of his snakes back could he? I would have hoped (and I am no lawyer) that he would have gotten awarded the "high" value of the snakes, from the year they were stolen, AND punitive damages.

The snakes at the time of theft were valued at 25K this did not include the potential offspring. So yes the 225K awarded in restitution is for the value of the snakes.
On the other note. No one that bought adult female albinos adult female yelowbellies, adult female ghosts Sub adult female Ivories in 2005 at any prices is innocent .
I know a lot of readers here are new at the ball game at the time of the theft those animals were not available for sale for any price . If you were offered them or bought them or even housed them for someone. Your just as bad as Don.
