In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

DO NOT NOT NOT deal with Brandin Oliver in his address is 11005 W. Anthony Tucson Arizona 85743 his phone number is 520-440-4906. I traded this guy 2 female blood pythons which got to him still alive, I called him and he said they were fine. So he then tells me hes sending out my GTP I was getting from him I wait 2 days and get ahold of him he tells me that the package is lost by UPS anyway I get the package and well you can see for yourselves the picture speaks for itself@@ Ive called him and emailed him but the little prick bastard isnt returning my calls or emailing me back to make it right. I even emailed him and asked him after he told me the snake was lost "Is it going to be OK you think?" Oh yea it will be fine, he said. So 2 points to this story DONT DEAL WITH THIS DICKHEAD!!!!! Sounds like the shipping company (UPS) is at fault, not Brandon...Did you two agree to which ever shipping company you were both going to use?...Shipping errors fall under the "Sh@t happens" clause, and he can't control that...Not trying to pick sides, and if Brandon is a stand up guy he can try to work something out, but I really can't see where he is a bad guy...UPS has always worked with me, and they've always wanted my business enough to wink at me when they took my packages...Not saying it's right, either, but i've never lost a snake because of UPS...Good luck and try a more rational approach then blowing up....Take a breather, bud; I would be upset, too, and then approach him a little more camly (lol) and see what you guys (as adults) can work out...Peace and just my opinion

The point is if he was a stand up guy he would quit dodging my calls and rrespond to my calls or emails. Granted it was UPS' fault but he still should make right by it whether its half of the trade in cash or my snakes back either or.

If he is ducking you then yes, definately not the way to handle it...Green tree boa for two blood pythons...sounds like a good trade...straight up $ figure you were definately making a good trade...tough to say what would be fair...You have to admit he (technically) doesnt owe you anything, but JMHO something can always be worked out that, if not totally satisfying, at least cushions the blow a bit....goood luck to both of y'all...

I disagree that shipping errors fall into the "sh!t" happens category without exception. That would only be applicable if it was agreed on by both parties that they were not responsible for shipping carrier errors. It is 100% a matter of what was agreed on.

We still have not heard the shipping particulars. Was the animal properly packed? Was it sent Next Day? I have shipped well over a thousand packages over the years and have had a total of one simply lost. Quite often there is more to the story. The details would be useful to hear.

Personally, I guarantee all of my animals to arrive safely unconditionally provided someone is there to sign for the animal. The possibility of an occasional expense having to be eaten because of a carrier error is simply a cost of doing business. I think you will find that a very large percentage of the reputable breeders out there do the same.

Bottom line, I consider the animal to be mine until it is safely delivered. I will not purchase from anyone who does not guarantee the same and have passed on several deals where it becanme an issue.

Good point, John...There are factors involved in the entire shipping process that due weigh in and are to be considered....But Damion had written that it had gotten lost in transit by UPS...That was my basis on the "Sh@t happens" clause...It does happen, packages do get lost by shipping companies irregardless of the service used, and it is just not something you as a shipper can control...How you go about dealing with your (understandably so) upset customer is another story....

Granted it was UPS' fault for losing the package. But the point is he should still try to make some kind of gesture like returning my calls or my emials.

I completely agree with John, the snakes are still yours until they're safely in the buyers hands. If the bloods Damian sent got lost, and showed up dead, do you think this Brandin person would have sent out the snake? Although not the shippers fault per se, I'd say it's his duty to either return the bloods or provide a new GTP.

didnt know it became legal to ship snakes via ups

How many times do we need to go over this? It has NEVER been illegal to ship harmless snakes through any of the over night carriers. It has only been against their policy.

There is a big difference between policy and law.

"How you go about dealing with your (understandably so) upset customer is another story...."

he is under no obligation to correct something that was completely out of his control...what part of that don't you understand???IT WAS NOT HIS FAULT UPS LOST THE SHIPMENT...The issue is whether or not he (Brandon) is going to stand up and work something out...JMHO if the bloods were sent to me and died due to carrier error i would certainly still hold up my end of the bargain...But thats just me and I can't speak for you hermitcore or anyone else...Do you just change a deal when it suits you???Thats called welshing...You are still beholden to your original agreement...which we do not know in this case...

No one is saying it's his fault. I'm saying it's his responsibility. As far as changing a deal when it suits you, I read that Damian made a trade agreement for his two female bloods for a GTP. He upheld his end of the deal and delivered two female bloods. What he got in return was a dead snake. Doesn't sound to me like the seller upheld his end of the deal. Damian is yet to receive his live baby GTP.

Welshing is failure to fulfill an obligation. Until Damian has that live GTP in his hands I consider the seller a welsh as well as a crook. I will always feel it is the sellers snake until it is safely in the hands of the buyer. Until the buyer takes posession of the animal, the seller is totally responsible.

Brandin Oliver ?????????

Brandin Oliver or is it Brandin Garner ??????

This sounds like a gentleman that I had the pleasure of doing business with back in October of 2003. This person had placed an ad on kingsnake with various animals for sale. One of those animals was D/H snow male boa with paperwork. I contacted him promptly and expressed intrest in that paticular animal. He contacted me back and we agreed on the price and shipper. At the time he was using Airborne, I stated that I did not use this shipper and would nopt purchase animal if that was the shipper he was going to use. He said he would use Ups Red Label. I sent him payment via Fed-Ex overnight to the name and address he gave me. He signed for it the next morning, he was to ship out on Tues. for a Wed. delivery. He e-mailed me stating he shipped out, I had previously asked him when he shipped to drop me an e-mail and a tracking # like I always do. I waited , next day no package, I called him via phone, left message he never returned call, I e-mailed him several times with no response. This happened a number of times. To many to count. I finally called an emergency # at the end of his answering machine which was his bosses at Animal Experts. I asked him if he could contact Brandin and give him a message. I told him that if I didn,t get a call from him or an animal I would personally come out to visit him. A few days later I got an e-mail and a tracking # from him, saying that the animal had been shipped. It arrived the very next day like it should have in the begining of this ordeal. It was packed half-assed and etc, heat packs cold the whole senerio. There was no paperwork on the animal which was to be sent with it in an envelope in the shipping box. I e-mailed him and he never responded, finally after about a week he e-mailed me with a half-assed e-mail attachment which was the paperwork. He said I was to copy it from that. That is the last I heard from him. So I don,t really know if the boa I purchased from him is a D/H snow male or not. But it is a male. I have 1 more year to wait to see. I don,t know if this will help or not, but the name this person used during our business transactions was as follows.

Brandin Garner
1210 S. Turquoise Vista
Apt. # 793
Tucson AZ. 85710
( 520 ) 312-0430

Brandin Oliver ????

Yes I almost forgot.

How long did it take me to finally get my animal that I paid for ???? It took me SIX WEEKS.

Thanks
Bill Rodriquez

Who's at fault.....

Everybody can sit back an say its ok and its not his fault You got a good deal anyway bla bla=BULL<font color=red>[**censored**]</font>! If you didnt get screwed in the deal you should stop trying to defend the little prick. I would imagine that the GTP was a half dead import anyways. As far as who is at fault He's the one dodging calls and not returning E-mails think about that people. A man with nothing to hide does not display this type of behavior. Thats just straight up dirty, and some seriously bad buisness Mr.Oliver I see you reside in the same state as I. I'm hoping this post shows what a prick you are hell I'll make you a deal (623) 221-2120 and I'll tell you myself. what else do you want Oh yeah I live in Glendale. If you think this post was to down on just you well your right. However I would like to aplogize to the editors of this site for this thread. Thank you Brian

Brian I appreciate your input and your right for him to dodge me and still is dodging me I find that highly kniving and dirty. But you know $hlt happens and I do not really pursue it much I send an email his way about once aweek and nothing but thanks again Damian

I had a problem with UPS before

Ok, I had one bad experince with UPS. I think it was my fault in the first place. Yes, It was my first time mailing out a snake, so yes idiot me, I put down BALL PYTHON on the slip for what was inside of the box. Well, the person who was sending it, didn't care, so she shipped it out, but she also put down the wrong zip code. So it went to UT instead of KS. So WHILE it was in UT, they saw the name and one of the people OPENED the box and called me to let me know it's going to the humane soc. due to it was aggenst there rules to send live harmless reptiles. I told them it was my first time and I didn't know that. PLUS the women who put the wrong zip code was at fault. IT TOOK ME 2 MONTHS to get the snake back from the Soc. I had to HIRE a company to pick up the animal and ship the animal threw Delta. It was a mess. UPS rembursed my money for all the trouble and to make sure before I ship out next time, have an account with them in order to send reptiles. My work has an account with UPS and I have shipped out with UPS twice so far, and no problems. I completly understand why Damian has a problem with UPS. But I think it's the other parties fault for sending an animal that was probably sick in the first place. You are in the right for going after the guy. I know I would....
