    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I made a deal with Chris and I send him 2 pardalis pardalis and he paid me money and send me a boa male.

let's start that he paid me with paypal, no problems I send him the pardalis pardalis no problem and he shipped me the boa the same day.

Well here start the problems, the boa got not delivered the next day witch was not his fault, I got the boa the second day, when I opened the box there was absolutely no insulation at all and he used one of this
6-7 hours hand warmers. We both shipped on the 20th of December and it was very cold at this time and the boa came in very and I mean very cold and live less.
I emailed him right away and told him the problem, he did not answer and emailed him again, finally he emailed back and told me he already had emailed me twice I had some problems with my email so it could be.
Any way after a couple of emails back and forth we agreed that he will send me $ 100.00 after the holidays.
I did not hear anything from him so I emailed him 2 times again beginning of January no answer, I emailed him the third time and told him if he would not pay or answer I would post here and on Turtle Times
Now he answered me and told me I am a brick and he would not pay. I emailed him back one more time telling him that I would post the whole thing here if he would not keep his word, well here is a copy of the last email from him today.

I am sure he has my address because he shipped to me.

It is not a big deal but I think every body here should know about him and how he does business and keeps his word.

The Boa is still alive and has no respiratory problems anymore but he is still not eating. I have put allot of work and money ( vet and medication ) in the animal and I am not asking to get this money back I just wanted the
$ 100.00 we agreed on.

Just think about this before you deal with him.

So why did you two agree on him sending you the $100? Is that for the vet bills?

I am curious as to the threat, or maybe he is planning on handing you the money in person.

I am not sure what you are trying to say, we had an agreement that I sell you two pardalis pardalis for
$ 400.00 and the boa, I shipped you the two hatchlings they arrived next day and I guess healthy and in good shape because I never got any respond to my shipment.

I was in Miami on Wednesday and talking to my wife on and off all day if the snake arrived, it did not.
On Thursday the snake arrived, very very cold because you only used a cardboard box no insulation and a heat pack I never saw before, but it looks like something you use for your gloves or pockets and this things are only good for a few hours.
I shipped you the turtles in a styro insulated box with two heatpacks because of the weather and I think this is the way to ship animals at this time of the year.

The male boa I have now is blowing bubbles and is not moving much at all, I am treading him, but I am not sure if he will make it.

You wanted to ship the snake that day, the deal we have has nothing to do with what you paid for the animal or what you think it is worth, by the way you offered the animal for $ 250.00 or even wanted to take $ 200.00 on TT.

I don't want to get in a fight about this with you, but because of the condition of the snake I did not get what we agreed on.

If you are willing to send me $ 100.00 like you suggested I will be satisfied with this no matter what happened to the snake, I still hope he will make it but I don't realy think so.

Anyone else note that he fed the boa the day before he shipped him as well?? Not a good idea in itself...but shipping it in December, with no insulation and a 6 hour handwarmer for heat?? And last but definitely not least, the threat?

Wow..definitely someone to put on my "never do business with" list. (I'm going to have to start an actual file system soon)

I guess you're lucky you at least got the boa alive....and if that's all the more he cares about his critters, the boa is probably lucky to be out of there.

I did not mention that he feed the boa the day before, because I relay don't think he did, the animal did not regurgitate and did not defecate till now. When I got the Boa he did not look like he had a meal a day before.
But I have to say the animal had good weight when I got him. But you are right if he relay did he should have not shipped the animal in the first place.

What the ..? He's calling your 'threat' to call him a liar and thief if he doesn't hold up his end of the bargain.. illegal? Meanwhile, twice now he's made veiled threats that he will visit your home?

Well, I hope he reads this thread and realizes that if he would've just kept his word, people probably would have said "oh well, sometimes things do get heated, at least he did the right thing in the end after all". Not now, after changing his mind a few times!! Sounds to me like he just doesn't have the $$ he said he'd pay you.
 
First of all.... If he fed that Boa the day before he shipped it, and it was that cold in the box, George would have found a regurgitated rat in the bag....

Secondly, if you know George, this dude better be a BIG BOY if he wants to follow through with his threats.... lol

George, posting this was a good idea, but you should probably just drop it now, and take care of your boa.... you'll never see any money from this guy.... it will end up being a lesson in futility....

Another member let me know that labeling reptiles as to content, in common and latin names, is a U.S. lacey act law, so it covers any boxes no matter who they are shipped through; USPS, UPS, Fed-ex, Delta etc.

I agree with Neil completely...
It does appear to be a lesson in futility...and over $100...not worth the time and money you will have to put into collecting it.

Glad you brought it to the BOI...just in case he gets back into herps...or never left in the first place...seems like scammers constantly say they left...but never do...always in the shadows lurking.

Glad the boa lived...and being a boa...I would think it will eat...out of all my snakes...the boas are like clockwork...they never refuse to eat...

Now if I could jsut get my BPs to feel the same way everything would be perfect...LOL
