In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

They are liars they are rude and they will rip you off!
Speaking from a personal experience
They don't update their page and will have you thinking that your buying a juvenile
And then send you a sub adult or adult!
I only had one cage at the time with 2 other juvenile females and so when I got the sub adult that they sent me I was screwed because I had meant for him to only be 9 inches not 12.5
So I put the sub adult on the ground and the females as well for a greet to see if they would get along so that I could put him in the cage until I got a new one for him . 3 minutes into the greetings the sub adult snatches my juvenile by the neck and rag dolls her and would not let go! Finally I get her our of his mouth and she did not survive the attack.....
It was my girlfriends dragon and she's crying and screaming and my eyes are getting watered up ... so at that point I put the big on in the tub and buried little pheonix rest In peace ...
I told hurricane exotics about what happened and they could care less , didn't offer to do anything just told me that they didn't care pretty much and we're not sympathetic to my situation at the least . They were so rude and could care less!
Then after days of bickering back and fourth they finally tell me that I can get a refund but I have to pay to ship it back !?
Now remember because they sent me a sub adult I had to
Buy a new cage
New lamps
New bulbs
Bigger roaches
And one of my dragons was killed .. .
Let alone I just had a baby boy and had to borrow money to purchase everything so that I could make sure my boy had everything he needs
I bought a juvenile 9 inch and got a 12.5 inch sub adult
They were totally rude and havery no hearts .
All they care about is their money not the customer or service to the animals

VERY BAD BUSINESS

WATCH OUT DON'T GET RIPPED OFF !

BE PREPARED TO PURCHASE SOMETHING THAT IS NOTHING LIKE THE DESCRIPTION OR PICTURE:NoNo:

KP CRITTERS WERE REALLY AWESOME JUST A HEADS UP , AND BEARDED DRAGON CENTRAL BOTH HELPED ME WITH A BETTER PRICE AND PAYMENT PLAN
WERE ALSO VERY KIND AND INFORMATIVE!

Can we see the ad? Did they say what size it was? If you put the two critters together and something happened, how are they responsible?

..

There is the add but I went to their site that's how I found the dragon

And of course they didn't make the other dragon kill mine

But if they would have givin me proper information or proper customer service and offered to make the exchange or refund due to their mistakes this would not have happened.

Just watch out they don't update their page

It takes a while to grow 3 inches and the body size of this dragon was nothing like the add .

It's total bs :censored:

I'm sorry you lost a pet but any new animal should be quarantined and never put in a cage with animals you already have, they should have absolutely no contact at all till quarantine is over. I can't see how the loss is their fault. You should have had a quarantine setup before buying a new dragon anyway so it's also imo not their fault that you have to buy a new cage. The only thing they possibly might have done wrong is misrepresent the size of the dragon.

So Justin, this is not the ad you purchased from? you went to the site and chose a juvenile? Do you have a picture and description of the one you chose?
Did you call them immediately on receipt? Why did you not quarantine?

Ok read what I wrote don't twist my words!

I had a cage for the lizard but because he was a sub adult I had to go out and buy a whole new set up

I currently have 4 juvenile male and female coexistING and he would have joined that pile at number 3 if I got what I was meant to purchase

This is exactly correct. Yes, they should have updated the size, but I personally only update gecko weights every 1-2 months. I will get an updated weight if someone asks. But animals should never be brought home and put with other animals right away. It's your responsibility to have a tank set up and ready to go for quarantine. If you put an animal with yours, it is not their fault that something happened.

It's been awhile since I've read up on bearded dragons, but I thought the majority of them did best alone and not housed together. Maybe that has changed since I researched for mine 8-9 years ago. Also, were they the same sex? Females, males? I know males of most species will fight. And young opposite sex pairs should not be put together before breeding size.

The one I bought is in the picture the juvenile dunner 9.5 inches

It's not that hard to figure out .

And if you knew how to read you would see that I put it in the tub and bought a whole new setup for the quarantine

That's all I have to say to you lucielle

Don't try and pick my experience apart like I'm lying

I'M INFORMING THE BUYERS OUT THERE

DON'T PURCHASE FROM HURRICANE EXOTICS

So you had a separate cage, but put him in with existing animals anyways? Bearded dragons grow fast. I know mine outgrew his first tank quickly. I knew it was best to have a larger tank ready.

FOR CLARIFICATION I PUT THEM ON THE FLOOR TOGETHER TO MEET I DID NOT PUT IT IN THERE WITH THE REST OF MY LIZARDS

AND MY EXPERIENCE JUVENILES USUALLY 99 PERCENT GET ALONG WITH EACH OTHER

HERE'S A PIC OF 4 JUVYS ALL FROM DIFFERENT PLACES BEST OF FRIENDS

I think the point others are trying to make here is that new animals need to be brought into a collection with care and caution. Zoonotic diseases can be passed quite easily and entire collections can be compromised as a result. Anytime you order or plan to buy a new reptile, it is wise to have a separate enclosure in a separate area already ready to go. If you had your established collection coexisting - that is up to you, disagreeable with many people - but up to you. Adding an animal that is a fair size larger, who is entering into their territory to contest it will have a negative result no matter the outcome.

I am sorry for the loss, and proper sizing should be given when listing animals. This is why the exact ad you purchased from is being requested to ensure it agrees with your accusations. No one is twisting words of the matter, simply trying to help see the entire picture, as well as help you see that the seller is not to blame for the ultimate demise.

Did you contact the seller to let them know about this thread?

This is what you posted a couple of weeks ago.

A few days ago regarding your animals going into shedding.

I don't know how it is happening or being caused but the little orange one had a pinch in the tail when I got him . Is that causing him to get it ? Or am I overreacting?
The red one almost half of her tail is darker but it's not decaying like others I've seen.
I'm not a pro, I just started beardies 3 months ago so please give me advice!
I know the best thing is go see a vet so please don't advise me to do that unless you think it's necessary. I heard betadine on the tail works?
Please help
Thanks guys

Yet you are already selling with an ad here?

I find your complaint lacking on many of the points you were trying to raise. I think you should post your communication with the company to see if the rudeness matches your claims as well.

New animals should never even have contact with existing animals. You could have put him in the smaller tank until you could get a bigger one. A few inches in size wasn't going to make that big of a difference.

If it was properly quarantined how did it manage to kill your dragon? Quarantine means absolutely no contact, it doesn't take more then a few seconds of contact to transmit diseases, parasites what have you. To me quarantine means housed as far away from my existing collection as possible, a different building if possible. And I always scrub and change clothes after doing anything with the animals in quarantine. Some bugs can be transmitted on your clothes or hands. My point is these dragons should have never been anywhere near each other and the others that were in contact with it could have been infected. Hopefully the new dragon is healthy and disease/parasite free but you never know. I even quarantine animals I get from the people I've been buying from for years and trust 100%. I'd rather be safe then sorry!

Why would you take that kind of risk if you knew size was a huge difference and still put them together?

It's obvious that you have little experience with bearded dragons. Once they are able to be sexed, I would suggest housing them separately. Now you have four dragons. What will you do if none of them can be housed together? These are all things you should have been aware of.

I feel for your dragon, but I don't think it's fair to blame the seller for this.

Willing to do what needs to be done
Don't mind getting dirty
Private message me if ANYONE needs a helping hand!

You have a new child and you are looking for work. Perhaps returning the critter would have been a good choice.

You admit you don't know a lot about dragons, that is good, as I told you in that post, ask specific questions and you will get help. I think with all you had going on the smaller housing might have been OK for a while.
