This arrangement was originally a trade agreement between Jen (Pink Lady Constrictors) and I for my doing her web sites in exchange for co-dom ball python morphs. Due to the virus issue, Jen and I agreed that it would be a bad idea for me to receive any of her 2008 hatchlings. We made a deal with Doug for her to make payment on a group of snakes he had listed here on Fauna for $1,100 and he was to ship them to me once final payment was received. I can not seem to locate the original advertisement that listed all that was in the group as well as the price.
For those of you who kept up on the situation with Jen, you know that the past few months have been very difficult for her because not only has she dealt with a virus that resulted in her putting down her remaining surviving snakes, but the situation with her ex-husband that has caused her to have serious financial difficulties. When I received this first PM from Doug, I thought I'd offer an easy and immediate out of the deal for him so he wasn't caught in the middle. After some negotiations, he agreed. After multiple attempts to set up shipping and multiple requests for him to just refund, here we are...Refund was supposed to be sent August 1st, as of August 8th (today) he has again not followed through with what he agreed.

Hey, you may be waiting a while to get the snakes. I spoke to Jen tonight, asking her when I would get the money, because something came up, and she told me her husband ran her an $800 phone bill and stuff. I'm usually pretty good with stuff like this, and I've known Jen on the forums for a while, but I'm starting to get a little annoyed, you know? It's been costing me about $30 a week to feed these guys and everything, so that's $120 a month. You know where I'm coming from I'm sure. It's been almost a month now that I've been told I'd get the rest of the money, and now I really need it.
If she can't come up with it in a week or two, I'm just going to have to relist these snakes, and find a new buyer. I turned down many people because she wanted them, even before I seen any money from her.
Just figured I'd let you know.

I would still like the Spider, Cinny & Mojave males. I know she sent you $600, so that should cover those three. I will cover the shipping for them (I'll send you a DHL shipping label, I'm certified through them - I just need your address and box measurements). I'm going to tell you to go ahead and relist the large group of normals and I will take up the balance she owes me directly with her. I will tell her this myself (and CC you on the email if you could give me your email addy). Stinks that I'll loose out on those nice females, but I don't fault you for wanting/needing the money. You have been very patient with her and it's not fair to hold you up any longer.

The money she sent me, will not cover the cost of those three. The Cinnamon was $400, the Spider was like $225, and the Mojave cost me $500. I'm sorry, but I can't do that.

She only should have owed $500?
As of 04/21 you had them ALL up for $1400.
As of 04/29 you had Female Normal, Adult Male Cinnamon, Male Spider, 2006 Female Granite, 2006 Female Banded, 2007 Female Normal, 2006 Female Black Back, 2007 Male Black Back, 2006 Female Light/Blonde colored(NOT Pastel!) & 2007 Female Normal listed for $650 plus shipping.
As of 05/23 the Cinny was listed at $350 and the Mojave at $425 singly (or $650 together).

Well honestly, I'm not super interested in the Cinny, he was just kind of there. The Mojave & Spider were what I really wanted out of the group. Will you do those two boys plus the blonde female for the $600 (again, I'll cover shipping).

Reads my PMs but won't respond. I noticed his birth date was 1990...So that means he's only 18/19. I have a suspicion he spent the $600 and doesn't have it to refund.
If we can get this guy straightened out, the balance you owe can be paid when you have it. I know the situation you're in and you don't need the pressure of added debts. Get you and your daughter taken care of and then worry about me.

Yeah, Doug is only 17. He hasn't turned 18 yet. And you're right -- he doesn't have the money to refund to me. He says he spent $2k on a new car stereo system, only to have it stolen, and that's why he's rushing me to pay off the rest (so he can buy a new one). Just like his truck engine blew up, he got a bunch of speeding tickets, drinking tickets, blah blah blah. It's basic teenage guy crap. I get where he's coming from on the whole money-to-feed-them thing, and that's totally understandable. When I paid half on the group, I did have all intentions to pay the rest by the 1st of the June. I didn't know all this crap was about to come down on me. If he doesn't believe me about the phone bill, I can easily scan a copy of it.
I'm working on trying to get shit together to get it worked out. I promise. I'm sorry it ended up being sucky like this.

If you have no intent on shipping these snakes, please immediately refund the money by Monday, July 28th. You've had the money since the first week of June and agreed on July 16th to ship the Spider, Mojave and "Blonde" female for what Jen put down on them ($600). You also were aware on July 20th that I wanted them shipped Monday for Tuesday or Tuesday for Wednesday of this past week and you agreed to this and yet did not follow through.
Jen nor I should need to play games with you to get this taken care of and settled. I'm quickly tiring of being ignored.

Let me fill you in on a little something...Jen gave me $420, not $600. I'm not eating the money that I'll be losing by sending them. And people have lives, and aren't on the computer all the time. I work in a 24 hour business, and cannot get to the computer all the time. I'm actually working now, and jumped on the laptop to check emails.

At this stage in your game, I no longer want these snakes. I highly recommend you refund the money since you are incapable of following through with your end of things. Jen has been provided /every/ private message between us and they will be posted along with my warning.
I had not known you were a minor before suggesting this deal with Jen and at this point, I believe I will have to communicate directly with your parents.

I did try to work things out so that you could get out of the deal and not worry about or be involved in Jen's situation...You agreed and then renigged on your offer...That is no ones fault but your own.
Your profile did say that your birth date was October 12, 1990 (and Jen confirmed that you were only 17)...So if that was a typo and a misunderstanding with Jen, I apologize for assuming what you had entered was accurate.
