    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Dr. Owens Partial or impartial?

I thought about this while I was at work tonight.

I asked a question of Dr. Owens, accepted the answers he gave me and was cool with that. He then proceeded to call me an alcoholic, drug addict, psychotic, and fruitloop. What an example for a mod to set. Others couldn't come up with anything to talk about other than squirrel poop.

I never once called any of you a name or directed a personal insult. If that is what it takes to make you feel good, then by all means don't stop.

I bet all of you made your mothers proud with your show of adult behavior.

So, I wait for the next insult to be leveled by whoever wants to give it. If it makes you feel better about yourself to call me names, then I am willing to oblige you.

As stated before, thank you to Dr. Owens for your explanation.

This strikes me as odd. Why were you agency hopping like this? And I would hardly call 7 years a career.
 
I tried to politely counsel Jody from allowing himself to arrive at this point with the suggestions that I gave him in his original thread.This is exactly where I thought that this situation was headed. It is not a good feeling to be right in this case.

Unless he took the three psych evals to keep the one job he had (has). Which I find a scarier proposition.

1st - At the very beginning of my career to get hired on for the county jail.

2nd - At the time I began the academy to be a street cop (academy was not associated with the Sheriff's Office, but a junior college. It is a requirement of the state of Texas that this take place no matter where you are taking the academy, or if there is a 30 day lapse in employment and the beginning of the academy)

3rd - To begin employment as a Peace Officer

I have only ever worked for two agencies as a full time Officer, and 11 months as a reserve while I was going to the academy.

The deal is this, I will be in pain the rest of my life. The accident has most likely ruined my career as a police officer. I drove with my hands, but I was extremely sore.

The accident has taught me to never take anything in life for granted. Maybe in the next 12 months I will heal to where I can do what I love to do, but I'll just have to wait and see. I can tell you this though, If I am not able to do what I love it won't be for a lack of trying. I work as hard as I can in physical therapy to get back to pre-accident condition.
 
jody, let me be kind here.

OBVIOUSLY you have experienced something horrific. Obviously you are having some problems that quite likley stem from this experience. Obviously you are not doing well dealing with it on your own.

Sometimes people need other people to help them. It's not easy to admit and even more difficult to put into practice.

I honestly think you need some help. I honestly don't think you realize that you need some help. So, do me this one favor, do YOURSELF this one favor, look at this thread as an outsider, someone not invovled at all, like a short story you may have had to read for an English class.

Take the characters and list them on paper and then, without any thought of your PERSONAL interaction with them on this thread, list their characteristics; good, bad, caring, intelligent, overbearing, smug, sarcastic, mean, threatening, scary, aware, emotionally in control. Be sure to include royalkreationz in the list and be PAINFULLY honest.

Then find someone to help you out. I don't know you, don't need to know you, honestly don't care if I EVER know you but I know this. Something has tipped you sideways and you're spinning out of control. If you don't get your balance back you're going to crash and burn.

What would your son want you to do?

Without even lifting his eyes or uttering a reply the Dr. starts to write prescriptions…

“Then on the rest of the days”, proceeds the patient, “I go to the clinic where my psychotic uncle is being treated. There I approach a man that every morning debates for hours with a coat hanger and start asking him questions about what’s his stance on nuclear disarmament. We never seem to be able to reach a point of agreement either. Tell me Dr. isn’t this guy crazy? I spend hours of my valuable time trying to talk him out of this nonsense and he won’t even pay attention!”

The Dr. drops the pen and the prescription notebook and calls for urgent assistance through the intercom while grabbing a straightjacket from the closet.

There’s a morale to this story that fits this thread...

Try as I might, I just can't convince myself that this thread belongs in the BOI. The BOI is about business topics and relations between the parties involved, and as far as I can tell there is not DIRECT business relationship between the person indicated in the topic line and the person who initiated this thread. Basically what it boils down to is that Jody Barnes has an issue about Dr. Jay Owens acting in the manner of a moderator on this site, and issuing warning points against him for one or more verifiably supportable infractions.

THAT is not BOI material. At best, it is a topic more appropriately placed in the site feedback forum, which as of now, this thread will reside in.

A word to the wise: The rules concerning the way members treat each other in a discussion are much more strict outside of the BOI. The laxer rules in the BOI are for a reason, and that reason does not apply outside of that particular forum.

See, little wise cracks like that are what causes you to get warnings as well. I tried to talk to you, and I was very nice, but some never learn until it's too late, yet others not at all. :ack2:

He is probably nuts. Occasionally goes off the deepend over on KS. A few weeks ago he said some disturbingly bad stuff to Jasballs if I remember correctly. I think he got put in the time-out corner for a while for that too.
 
Mr. Barnes has earned himself a 3 day cooling off period for using this site to send abusive emails.

If he keeps sending "love letters" to people he's going to be getting a vacation from here too.

Jody, if we could heave helped you get what you needed from Ed we would have. Most of the legwork must be done by you, unfortunately. If you look at the people that have gotten a resolution here, most of the time we just gave them an avenue for resolution and they did most of the work themselves.

Instead of coming unglued on people perhaps your time writing your letters would be better spent asking for help with Ed. If there was something we could heave done or something we can do for you then we would/will.
