In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hello, all.

I have GREAT news for you. I just want to let you know that Draco (my hypo bullsnake yearling) arrived here yesterday in great condition. As soon as he arrived, I put him in his tank (with something to hide in so he will feel more secure). I'm sure that he needs time to calm down & acclimate to his new home. So, I've handled him as little as possible (once when I was putting Draco into his tank and once more when I was switching out hide caves for only a short period of time) so he won't be too stressed out. In fact, I've noticed the poor guy is scared to death and he spooks easily (despite the fact that he hasn't hissed nor struck at me)! However, the breeder told me that I need to remember that Draco was probably tossed around a bit in his travels and, also, he will get used to me pretty quick. So, this means to me that it is really nothing to worry about. Thank God! At this point, Draco seems to have settled into his new home very nicely. He mostly stays hidden inside his hide cave now. However, I am sure this will change once he completely recovers from his stress and gets used to me.

Unfortunately, I won't be able to feed Draco until Wednesday of next week at the earliest because I accidentally ordered the WRONG size rats. I got him the frozen rat fuzzies (15 grams) and I should have got him the frozen rat pinkies (9 grams) instead. So, I just wasted freakin' $48.00! I am kicking myself right now. *sighs* Oh, well... At least I will already have frozen rat fuzzies for Draco when he grows larger (I think they keep for about a year in the freezer. I wrapped them in several layers of newspaper just to make sure). Anyway, I've ordered some frozen rat pinkies for Draco (which will cost me an additonal $43.00!). Hopefully, they should be arriving on Wednesday of next week.

One more thing...

Draco DOES look much better in person! I love him.

Take care,
Terry

Hello, Dieter.

Actually, Draco is a "pet" (or I should say that I see him as a new member of my family). I don't have enough room to breed snakes since I live in a small one-bedroom apartment. Heck, I barely have room for one adult bullsnake! Hehehe!!! Besides, I firmly believe that a single bullsnake can be just as happy as a pair of bullsnakes (as long as you give it lots of love and attention). My previous bullsnake "Casey" proves my statement. Casey seemed like a VERY HAPPY & CONTENT bullsnake (before his death) and he did not have a mate.

I prefer normal colored bullsnakes (although Draco is an exception). The bloodline which really has my attention is the monster bullsnakes from Texas.

Take care,
Terry

Hey Terry, your bullsnake is beautiful. I believe you purchased him from Home Grown Herps? Jim is a great guy and his animals are awesome so you made a very good choice.
I am from Texas and grew up on a farm in Eastern central Texas. I used to find HUGE bullsnakes as a kid, some over 7 feet. They were always in my grandfathers barn and around his grain silos.
Anyway, enjoy Draco and I hope you guys have many years together!

Hello, Ronald.

Thank you very much for your kind words regarding Draco. Yeah, I purchased him from Jim of Home Grown Herps. You are from Texas, eh? What a coincidence (since I LOVE the monster bulls from Texas)! I think it is wonderful that you used to find bullsnakes over 7 feet long on your grandfather's farm. WOW!!! You must have been very happy & excited (to say the least) to find these monsters! By the way, I was checking out your website and I am surprised that you don't keep & breed bullsnakes. As you already know, these are very impressive snakes. Plus, snakes of the genus Pituophis seem to possess an awareness of their surroundings which most other snakes DON'T have. They are in a league of their own!

Take care,
Terry

Hello, Chris.

If you think Draco is beautiful, then check out this VERY STUNNING hypo bullsnake:

By the way, the snake in this picture is not mine. However, I wish it were mine! This must be the most beautiful bullsnake which I've ever seen in my life!!!

Take care,
Terry

Well Terry I actually have plans on raiding Jim's stock of red bulls this year. :hehe:
I am just starting back up after being stationed in Hawaii for 4 years. I gave up over 300 snakes when I left for Hawaii, 22 bulls in the group. I am slowly building back up though!

Terry, the snake in that link is sweet, I have a few that look just like that.
The one in the pic is from Josh Martin ....I have purchased a bunch of snakes from him.

Hello, Ronald.

It is great to know that you will be adding bullsnakes to your collection again (It must have been difficult for you to give up a large portion of your snake collection.)! They are my #1 FAVORITE species of snake in the entire world. Yeah, red bulls are beauties. You also can't go wrong with the normal colored bullsnakes and the golden hypo bullsnakes (If you want to see a stunning golden hypo bull, then check out the link which I've enclosed earlier in this thread).

By the way, I sincerely appreciate you serving this country when you were in the military.

Take care,
Terry

Hello, Jim.

WOW!!! Those photos which you've posted of some of your golden hypo bullsnakes are breath-taking! Are those snakes from Josh Martin's line as well?

By the way, I should be posting an update on Draco soon.

Take care,
Terry

No my Stillwater's are not from Martins stock. Mine comes from John Ginter.
Ultimately I believe they all originated from Ginters stock.
I plan on breeding them to some normal Stillwater bulls to strengthen bloodline and keeping them pure Stillwaters. I haven't heard of anyone doing that yet.
