In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Dragon Vision Probs

is there a way to repost in BOI without having o copy paste all msges.
thanks
No, there isn't.
I haven't paid much attention to who posted what, but you might want to let people deal with making their own posts if you decide to put this on the BOI. Names have to be attributed to any third party information used; so you'll either create a whole lot of work for yourself (having to attribute any quotes to the proper people), or you'll rack up a few infractions. Just tell your story, and provide whatever proof you have...if anybody else has something to say, they are certainly free to do so.

Just back from long day and doc was floored.
His exact words were
" WOW....in all my years I've seen very few dragons as infected as this one and that are doing as well as he is"."He is just loaded with Pinworms and Concadia and honestly looks to have a vit b and calcium loss"
So just to clear things up he is loaded with parasites and worms.
I took ALLL of my other breeder dragons in and only 1 other dragon showed any parasites and he said was low enough that it was prob just from eating crickets.
So he gave me the meds to treat All my dragons for it and gave me 3 dif meds for the trans male.

i sure hope he gets well for ya. make sure you get a good post cycle medication cause those meds will take a lot out of him.

Matthew, I'm so glad to hear you got your dragon to a vet who was able to diagnose and treat your animal. I only saw this link today, but the second thing I thought of after MBD was vitamin B deficiency (because you mentioned the twitching).

I second the others who've suggested using probiotics during/after the antiparasitic treatment--it's very hard on their system, and replenishing their intestinal flora will help them keep their appetite and recover more quickly. I wouldn't use ReptAid during the antiparasitic treatment, but like Brian I've found it to be very useful as a supportive measure and would consider administering it after the parasitic regimen is finished.

FWIW, I brought a BD who had MBD back from the brink by feeding phoenix worms (not cheap, but they have an excellent calcium/phosphorus ratio) and changing his UV light to a MegaRay mercury vapor bulb. You can buy P. worms in quantity from http://www.phoenixworm.com by asking for their wholesale pricing.

While he wasn't eating well, I assist-fed him 2x/day (via syringe) a slurry I made in the blender that contained probiotics, a multivitamin, and ReptAid along with the phoenix worms, greens, and other veggies (gross, but it worked). It took some time and patience, but his appetite came back pretty quickly and today he's doing great (though his tail has remained bent).

Wishing you the best with your beardie, and I'm really glad you got him checked out so that he can get back on track! :)

Again i thank everyone who helped with advice during this time, even though i could have treated on my own using all the advice i got as it all seemed to be correct.I think the vet was the best thing. Not only did it inform me a lil more on dragons but it told me that im doing ok in my care as all my dragons are happy, healthy and in great pets all around.
The main reason also i took all my dragons in is i want people to know even though i dont have a job atm i dont slack when it comes to the care of my animals.I will always take care of my animals even if that means selling them to ensure they are happy and healthy(even though thats last resort lol)
As long as i can do tattoos on the side and have babies popin every once and while well make it lol.
Thanks again all.
Matt Prater:thumbsup:

Update on the trans male.
Well he has gone threw all meds and been fed as best as i can due to vision problems and he seems to just be worse.
The shakes have gotten real bad,He seems to be frightned of even the sight of me now and goes nuts trying to run.He hardly eats unless it moves on its own he wont eat.
Im really upset that i got this dragon in such poor condition and cannot seem to help it.
If anyone is interested or willing i will sell this dragon for $100 shippedd so i can cover vet bills and shipping.
I would like to get this guy a home where he can mabe be helped or somthing.
I just dont want to have this guy die because his first owner cant take his dragons to the vet and care for the people and dragons he deals with.
please contact me if interested.
I will not post this dragon in the for sale ads as he IS ILL.

p.s. all other dragons doing great and are 100% :)
