In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Howdy, ive had my baby beardie for about a week now.She eats 3 small mealies every other day and shes eaten greenbeans, carrots, and roamain lettuce once(it was a lot) cut into very small pieces. She has a basking spot which reaches about 100-105 and she uses it often. At night i give her a red bulb(high tempature at night is atleast 75,but its around 82).I mist her about once a day to once every other day and try to hold her often as she dosent have any budies to hang out with. She also defecates normally.I try to dust the mealis when I remember with reptavite.Recently her colors have darkened. Is this due to tempature or discomfort?Any info would be appreciated.ty.

She could just be getting ready to shed. Stress might cause them to darken up a little too, though. Is she really only eating 3 mealworms every two days, or are you feeding her crickets as well? Each of my smallest dragons eat about 2 dozen crickets and 6 mealworms per day plus some greens.
Hope that helps.

Yep,I cant get her to eat crickets for the life of me.She always freaks out or just ignorss them. However, I still leave some in the cage and they do disapear but its highly likely theyre escaping so I dont count them as being eaten.Any tips for weaning?

How many crickets do you put in her cage with her? Sometimes if you put too many in at one time they will flip out. It is highly doubtful that the crickets are escaping at night if she is in a tank. She most likely is eating them while you are not around.

If she isn't eating crickets to speak of, will she eat more than 3 mealworms every other day, or is that all you're giving her??

Just fed her and she ate about 6 mealworms, but thats it.She turned down the 7th one.Normally i put about 10 crickets in at a time.Looking back on it that might be a little much.I think im gonna jsut leave her greens in there today then try feeding her a few crix tommarow.

Have you tried just giving her just a few more often? If you just give a few, several times a day as opposed to a bunch once or twice a day, she may be more inclined to gobble them up....just something you may want to give a try.

Yeah,She ate about 10 throughtout the day yesterday.Im going to feed her again today. But im worried abotu somthing else now.Sometimes she seems disoriented and falls when chasing mealworms. And i was jsut holding her today and she literally fellwhen trying to walk?Shes still defecating every 2-3 days, but im fearing dehydration.I mist her about once a day, somtimes every other day and she has water avaible. Please help im really worried about this.

Misting is alright but I would advise you to give her a bath at least once a week. Just fill eitheryour sink or bath tub with enough water for her to soak, but not enough to where she can't stand and keep her head above water. Leave the faucet slightly dripping and she should drink. This will help with a possible dehydration problem.

I should have specified "warm" water.

I would think that there are similar reactions from dehydration in a reptile and human though the anatomy is not the same. Disorientation, lethargy, and sunken in eyes all are signs of dehydration.

I gave her a bath and she sat there for a bit but then she started getting pissed and was trying to run and stuff but she was still kind of disoriented and wobbled when she ran.I dont know whats up.Can anyone shed some light on this?

How long did you leave her in the water? We tend to leave them for a good 15 minutes or so. I would just keep an eye on her once in a while to make sure she isn't drowning herself.

She was in for just under about 5 minutes..and the water was warm.I guess ill try again tommarow night and keep you posted..thanks again.
