Varnyard: Well he might be the most honest guy in the hobby, but his actions are far from good. IMO, someone that has shown the lack of class he has would not be on the top of the list to buy from.

Who knows, some people might like dealing with someone that acts like a total jerk, I however do not. JMHO.

IMO, it is the proof in the pudding. If he does not wanted to be pitted as such, then he should have changed his costumer service.

Well it might be that this hobby is not just his. IMO it refects bad on all of us. Why can't he act like a adult, I could also ask you the same question.

No need to ask me that question. I am an adult, and I carry myself as such. I'll tell you what hurts the hobby. It is people that act like they may be interested in your product, when they almost always are not (looky lous). They don't have much going on in their lives, so they pester and pester and pester good people until the people who once loved and enjoyed this hobby, mostly for the animals and converstions about the animals, just can't find it in their hearts to offer their product anymore. It is a shame that just about everybody in this thread started pouncing on Peter without knowing both sides of the story. They all took the 1 side. Take any person or animal and back it into a corner. You're probably going to get bitten. Peter is very docile, but what happens sometimes when a child pokes a puppy in the eye or pulls its ears, such as you've all done to Peter? You are probably going to get bitten!

People who make us look bad hurt this hobby. The scammers, the folks who abuse the animals, the people who just shouldn't be let out in public in general for their lack of interpersonal skills. THEY are what gives us a black eye in the eye of the "common" folk.

People who ask for pictures, or ask questions about the care of the animals before buying don't hurt the hobby. If you can't deal with customers.......well, keep a few snakes for yourself, don't put yourself in a position to have to deal with the public.

We are only talking about 1 or 2 abrasive emails. Anybody that has dealt with him would say that he is GREAT for the hobby. He had the greatest selection of locale specific kingsnakes ever. I don't know anybody that enjoyed or cared about snakes more than Peter. Instead, people that who haven't dealt with Peter and don't know him, darn near drove him out. That is a shame! Then he started going in another direction with Boids. He got a ration of you know what with those. Peter treats people with respect that show him respect. I can ask him for help on anything, and he would help me. I'm sure he would do the same thing for anybody that showed him respect.

Say you emailed me about some animals I had for sale and I told you where to stuff it and that I never wanted to hear from you again!! that would piss you off and don't tell us it wouldn't.

Forget it - Varnyard and Ravensgait live for this. They cruise and prowl in their fiefdom called the BOI and have paid (in dollars) for the right to give out "warning points".

That would be the same thing as paying the referee's at your son's football game. Ridiculous. The two of them attack and attack - and then hand out warning points when someone loses their temper and retaliates.

A fun little game. Both of them (and Christopher66) are probably like the "swingline stapler guy" in the movie Office Space. Their only outlet is to hunt through these threads - like a pack of hyenas looking for a wildebeast with a bum leg. I can see them plotting on how they will ruin someone's reptile "business" while holding the road sign and radio during their miserable days....
