In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

any one know of ANY reptile shows in east, central, or south PAand MAYBE north, with in 2 hours drive of 17801?

Hamburg, PA - the Northern Berks, and the Northwestern Berks show, both held at the field house. The next one is Sept 8 (I have no idea if that is within two hours of your zipcode, but I suspect it is)

cool thanks guys, u know if they allow pets brought cause i'de like to bring my female Sav and maybe socialize her

A reptile show isn't the place to "socialize" any reptile. Shows can be hectic, loud and stressful for an animal. Some shows allow owners to bring their pets (I personally think they shouldn't) and most don't allow it.

that sucks..i was hoping to take her along and find her a boyfriend. well as much as i'de LOVE to take her with me it'd probably be easier on her, and less stressful about ppl bumping me

Most shows do not allow patrons to walk around with uncontained animals (though it is regularly seen, unfortunately). The general policy, is that one does not bring animals to the show unless you are a) a vendor, or b) bringing them to a vendor. (Frequently, people will meet at shows to deliver purchased animals to eliminate the need for shipping & allow for inspection).

Keep in mind that not everybody that attends these shows is actually a fan of reptiles. It has become something akin to a trip to the zoo, and some people are actually very much afraid of the animals they see. For those people, it is one thing to have them enclosed & on display, but it is quite another to see one looking them in the face while they are standing in an aisle.
Also, as you mentioned, there can be a lot of bumping. It is stressful to the animal, AND it creates the risks of injury and escape.
In short, leave your savannah monitor at home.

:iagree:
I hate it when people walk around a snake and scream out "ewwwww"
As for you Sav. , I don't think you really have to bring her. You can find a mate for her... without her.

lol as for me i'de see a snake and be like oooooooooooooooooooo pretty! i love snakes, but yeah i'm going to leave her at home.

You should not own reptiles.

And you damn sure should not be bumping every thread in the monitor discussion forums trying to give people advice or information.

uh me?..i'm not...i was simply asking ppls opinions, and it was even allowed, you need to take your issues and go back to the psyche ward.

As of this moment you have nineteen posts, seven of them are offering other people information or advice that you have demonstrated very clearly you have no business giving. You, yourself, do not know enough about the animals you have attempted to act as an informational resource on, that is ignorantly negligent *at absolute best* and maliciously dangerous at it's worst.

Reccomendations like telling someone to use shampoo on a sav, a halfassed method of sexing that contains no disclaimers, dietary advice, enclosure advice... and then you show up here wanting to take your sav to a reptile show to "socialize it" and apparantly "find her a boyfriend"

There's a huge difference between being innocently naive and being ignorant but not knowing when to shut your wordhole. You crossed the line between the two in the majority of the few posts you have made and you will find that people become less and less tolerant of it as the behavior continues, until you correct it.

Until that point, you should not be responsible for providing care for a reptile. You very obviously do not know your ass from a hole in the ground and have been regurgitating everything you have heard on the subjects without any kind of filter to weed the good information from the bad information from the highly situational information and all that put together creates a very negative future for your intended pets.

i dont give advise i simply say what i do, and are u stalking me to know what all i've been saying...its official your a psychotic stalker, hmm i wonder how many other ppl you've stalked and harassed..and the shampoo i advised her was a reptile safe shampoo, that isnt really a shampoo but a spray..(Reptile relief)..and your nosey ignorant i have EVERY right to voice my opinion and views on the subject at hand as you do. and to keep what ever pets i want to. and that i can provide care for..which i do damn well! since i've always had some sort of reptile in my care since i was in my early teens.

No, all he has to do is click all posts from this user. Than there is that list of posts you have donated to the site. To be honest, did you think of your Savannah before you wanted to act as if Paris Hilton and "socialize" her. Those shows are too stressful for some humans let alone that animal that is already at a home (with you) and has no need to witness and/or relive an event.

it was just a thought to take her out and socialize her, i wasn't going to take her to be a specimine and let ppl pick and poke her..and it would have been a short time..didnt think havent all day to much drinking lol, back to my drinking and fun...and yes she is away from the loud and obnoxious ppl in a locked room in her tank..no one need worry

Okie dokie...This certainly went out of hand...Anymore of the name calling, profanity or off topic conversation I will be forced to lock this thread.
