In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Eastern DiamondBack Rattlesnake's

I'm so sorry about the loss of your hots...but I can certainly understand your wife's actions and maybe it's for the best, not to have the temptation in front of you. There are still plenty of snakes that are awesome to work with (& not hot!) and I look forward to your
posts in good health.

Out of the blue I thought about you today, looked up your posts and saw the last one. I'm glad you are alive.

Barry,
I hate to hear that you took a hit from her. Easterns are funny animals. I kept them for many years and found them to be very emotional snakes. I'm sure you know what I mean. I gave up keeping hots myself several years ago and still miss them. I am lucky enough to live on a piece of property that has a healthy Edb population as well as pigmys. The big girl I posted on this thread a while back still lives right behind my horse pasture in the tin pile. That's about as close to hot keeping as I do anymore. Glad to hear your back to almost 100%.
Sam

Thanks, I've had to make a change as well. I've been bit twice now, you know the ol' saying ''3 strikes and your OUT'', I'm not going for number 3!! LOL

I'm with you there, you know the old saying that the definition of madness is repeating the same actions and expecting different results.... and you don't seem particularly mad to me...

Glad to hear you are recovering well, wondering if you are getting back into (non hot) snakes?

Oh I still love snakes, 4 weeks after I got out of the hospital I got a 3 1/2 month old Burmese python I call Howard.
He's 7 1/2 months old now, in the pic he's 5-6 months old.

Hi Barry,
Hey I am glad you are doing well.

Your python looks really nice.
I dig them.
I once raised a hatchling to a giant many years ago.
I also did same with some of the larger monitors.

When I was young, dumb, and broke I owned a nice piece of land (still have the land) I would supplement the feed with the birds I hunted on my land.
Most peeps might frown on that but I really don't care.
Good cheap/free food and it was actually kinda fun.

Anyways it good to hear you are mending.
Take care.
Andy.

Sorry to hear that, she was a beauty (even if a near fatal one).

By the way, I just went back to look at your great pictures again and they are all gone- replaced by the request to update photobucket

Photobucket decided to start charging people to let them post their photos on websites, so you'll need to find a new image host. I'd suggest Imgur.
